I'm keeping my expectations low for this one and expecting it to break in the near future. I used it to secure Polk DB-651s speakers in my 2003 BMW E46. The bracket does NOT attach to the speaker, and the speakers are NOT attached to the door panel. So, pretty much my speakers are just behind held in there by a piece of plastic pushing down on it. There were no instructions on how to put them on there either. The three bolts only fit in there with barely one full turn before the bracket started bending. The tabs on the brackets are bending down about 1/4" from their original position, and that was just so the speaker wouldn't slide around. With that much tension on the tabs, it's only a matter of time before something breaks and my speakers slide into my door.

The bracket came with no instructions and even calling in was not much help. I am not sure if I was sent the wrong bracket as the label said front door and i was installing in rear deck.

This product is well made but it would not work for my 6.5" Polk Audio speakers. Tried multiple times to get them to fit properly, ended up buying wood and making my own custom speaker adapters. Money down the drain.

Great little adaptors. OEM BMW speakers have three offest tabs which won't work with aftermarket speakers. These adaptors are a perfect interface between aftermarket speakers and the OEM door panels.

Quick installation, perfect fit!

A must for all e46 BMW owners - these brackets worked like a champ in front doors
allowing a 6.5 inch speaker with low profile teater to fit with only minor mods of
aftermarket screws and additional foam spacers, to kill rattles. These even allowed me
to install 6.5 inch, low profiles in back deck, with same mods, however, I had to use the
factory grills -- the BMW grills wouldn't allow enough clearance for the tweeter cones --
note that asthetics of back deck application described will not satisfy those who want to
keep factory appearance.

You can make this work, but it's not a trivial bolt in.
-Pay attention to the picture. It may look like the mounting holes are evenly spaced but they're not; there is a definite orientation. This also affects wiring.
-Note the ridges on the mounting holes; they really must go toward the speakers, which means for mine (Polk DB 521's), the Scosche frame gets bent, unless you file down three of them that are unused. If your speakers can mount on the front and stick through without interference, this might not be needed. Mine could not.
-The supplied 4 mm screws are 3-4 mm too long for the mounting holes (I have a 2003 325xi); you could use washers to space, I used shorter screws.
-Speaker mounting screws supplied were flimsy sheet metal; also replaced these.
-No info on which BMW wire is + or -; found on another site. (Left +: Blue w/ white stripe, Right+, Blue w/ red stripe)
-Would have been good if they supplied terminals to plug into the existing connector; again made some. Alternative is to solder your speakers in directly (bad idea for future maintenance) or cobble up another connector (get insulated pairs)

Overall the need is for proper parts and an instruction sheet. A Scosche instruction sheet would have saved me a lot of time. Generic one from Crutchfield isn't too useful.

Two other hints: if your car has the foam gasket around the speaker, reuse it. Also, be smart to have a few of the door male plastic clips; several of mine were pre-broken.
