Fit and finish is very good for such a great price. Had no issues installing them into my 2012 Impala. Definitely a lot easier than trying to create something on my own.

Simple to use - dropped right in - just like the factory speaker.

Pros:

I had to make my first one (for the passenger side) and it took me a week (on and off). I found this and it was perfect. I installed this one (drivers side) in less than an hour. I sure wish I had found these earlier.

Cons:

That I didn't know about this item and Crutchfield earlier.

Fantastic brackets, made the installation of my new speakers so much easier.

Pros:

Fit perfectly, plastic felt sturdy.

Cons:

Wish they came with instructions. There are tabs on the inside of the bracket that must be removed to get bigger speakers mounted. There were no instructions indicating this. Would have saved a few minutes of figuring things out.

I ordered 5 and 1/4" speakers and crutchfield sent me speaker adapters for 6 and 1/2 to 6 and 3/4" speakers. My new speakers would not work with the adapters. After calling customer service and explaining the problem they sent me new ones. The same thing. So I just used the original ones that were in the truck

Great product. Just take out the one mounting bolt on the old one. Mount the new speaker and re-install. Don't know why they don't have one for the rear speakers but I just took a jigsaw and cut our the old speaker and re-mounted the new speaker in its place. Worked just like the front bracket. I highly recommend these for a quick and easy installation.

Fast and clean installation

Cons:

No mount for rear speaker but easy enough to customize the original.

the brackets fit too loose in the door opening. Also, the top mounting hole is mislocated by 1/2". I redrilled the hole and added foam weatehr stripping to make them fit tight in the opening.

Recently wanted to swap out the factory speakers in my 2009 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab and found that GM has made that task much more painful than it needs to be. I bought these thinking they were for the rear doors just to find that they're for the front doors, and pretty much nobody makes a bracket for the rear doors. Got these in the mail and tried them out, they kind of fit, could lock into the bottom a little better. I also had to drill my own hole in the top above the factory screw hole to bolt it into the door. The plastic could be stronger, to keep it from vibrating I put a little padding between the door and the bracket on each side. So far works pretty well, and for the price I can't complain too much.

Pros:

Cons:

Needs some tweaking to fit the rear doors in the 2009 Silverado Extended Cab. Plastic could be stronger.
