Great value. I use these speakers in our 27' Class C motorhome as replacements for the originals. They do a good job providing sound for the front half of the vehicle. There is some minor distortion if I really crank them up, but to be honest, I'm not sure if it's due to the 18 year old original AM/FM Cassette deck or the speakers...Only time will tell. Our products were delivered quickly and without incident from Crutchfield. Installation instructions were spot on for our Ford E-350 cab and literally took me about 20 minutes per door using the wiring harness provided!

Pros:

Great set of speakers for the money. I recommend them.

One of the techs at Crutchfield recommended these for my 2011 Taurus, even though I gave him no price range and he could have recommended more expensive speakers ( I wouldn't have necessarily bought them). I was impressed by his recommendation, as these are very modestly priced speakers. They arrived quickly and fit perfectly, with nothing else needed. Would buy again.

Pros:

PRICE. At $80 a pair, they are hard to beat. The bass is firm and punchy, not vague. The midrange is excellent and the treble is very good. They seem capable of handling a fair amount of power without distortion. If you want above average sound at a below average price, buy these speakers.

Cons:

None, really. I think you would have to pay 2 or 3 times what these cost to realized slightly better sound.

Blew out the Bose "premium" sound in my Mazda 3 so I got these. They absolutely blow the Bose system out of the water! Great purchase.

Pros:

Good bass response, fits perfectly, easy install, relatively clear. Would be able to put more here if it weren't running off the factory deck, but either way I'm happy, vast improvement from the Bose system. As an aside, the speakers for the Bose system are crap. I could build a better speaker with butcher paper...

Cons:

A little muddled, the frequencies kind of run together but that may very well be due to the fact that they're running off the factory deck.

Great speakers for the price. They replaced a blown speaker in front left door. The installation went well and the Ford installation wires that came with installation kit and speakers made it a plug in operation. No wire splicing! The instructions said tie off speaker wires; do it. I learned the hard way when passenger door window wouldn't go all the way down.

Great speaker, especially for the price! I have a 2008 F150 Crew Cab and I replaced all four speakers with these Pioneers. The improvement of sound from stock was fantastic! So much more low end and very balanced sound. Of course they aren't going to rattle your car apart because they are just the door speakers, but they do add a nice little thump over the stock speakers and the overall clarity is vastly superior. The highs are crisp and clear with clear mids and full bodied lows. I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone who wants to improve their stock system for cheap. My stock head unit is powering these currently, and there is plenty of power till you crank it and in bass heavy songs they start to drop out and beg for more power but at about half volume they are perfect.

These speakers are awesome Pioneer is the best speaker ever made they have a killer bass put them on the rear and they sound incredible have no regrets on buying these speakers you should own a pair of these speakers you won't be sorry you will be satisfied.

These are good speakers for highs and lows wouldnt recommend them for any bass tho al tho they do produce some, my friend has alpines and they work better for bass, but i have had to replace all four speakers because they bust easily, so if your going to be cranking your music with a 1000 watt amp and no subs i wouldnt recommend this product.

Breaks easy, lacks bass, expensive to replace

I replaced the front door speakers only. Much crisper highs than the factory speakers. After listening for a couple of weeks, I have gotten used to the sound and I am pleased.

I'm very happy with these speakers in my 2011 Ford F-150. The stock speakers were terrible, and these make listening to music much more enjoyable. Crutchfield had a good price on the speakers, but more importantly have outstanding support. Really appreciated the detailed installation instructions and adapters, made the process as simple as possible.

Terrible!!

Installed 3 months ago with Ford Mach 460 in '03 Mustang. Sounded good at first, now gone. Bass crackles and any decent volume and forget about playing them loudly. They are starting to distort mids at higher volumes. I knew they wouldn't have much bass. 6X8's are notorious for lacking bass, but this is unacceptable. Will not buy again. Going back to Infinity!

Trying to install these in the back of my 1999 Ford Ranger Supercab but they have this plastic ring on them that says "custom-fit ford mazda", and because of this ring, they sit on top of the grill instead of inside and the stock screws are too short and won't even thread in. When I called tech support, I was told to take a dremel and sand down the edges. If I have to modify my grills to fit speakers that are supposedly made for this vehicle (which wouldn't work anyways because you don't want to sand down the screw holes which are right next to the grill ring), then why buy them?

I was a little skeptical about these speakers at first but man I am sure happy I got them. They sound very clear and dish out decent bass. I also have a JVC KW-HDR81BT to go with it. Now I've seen in some of the reviews people complaining about bass. I listen to a lot of rap and I personally think they sound great. I didn't want to get a sub or amp when I was looking at upgrading my car sound. I personally think too much bass ruins the music by drowning out the artist voice. So overall these speakers get the job done for me. If your not planning on getting a sub or amp get these speakers you will not be disappointed.

Put these speakers in my 2010 F-150 to use with my factory radio unit, they are a wonderful improvement over the OEM speakers that were in the truck. Good sound from hi to bass, they are sharp and clear. These speakers were recommended by the Cruchfield staff and they were right on. In my last F-150 I had Sony in the rear and and Polk in the front, the Pioneer's are better.

Incredible speakers

These speakers are amazing. I have owned everything from jl audio to mb quartz, alpine to infinity. These speakers are clear, loud and clean. I have not had any popping, muffling or distortion from them. They fit perfectly in the stock mounts in my 2000 f150.

Bought 2 pairs of speakers to replace all my OEM speakers in my 2006 Ford F150 Supercab truck . Installation was super easy, took me about 1 hr from start to finish to install both pairs. Speakers sound very good compared to factory speakers, alot clearer and alot more bass. Listen to a wide range of music , and all genres sound good. I also have an aftermarket Alpine CDE-102 deck installed. Highly recommend for the price, awesome speakers.

these speakers were added to my 2001 f150. i put them in the rear like 3 ways in the rear gives a clear crisp sound with a little thump of bass. I am 46 years old and want crisp clear soung and these deliver. i have an pioneer deh-4400hd deck that allows me to add little bass with these speakers and sounds great. i listen to hard rock to country to some rap and oldies so a wide range of music.I like my rock load and country crisp, these speakers deliver that. great replacement and easy fitament for my truck and everything with Crutchfield paperwork was a breeze for i had never had the panels of the extended cans door off before.

An Average Speaker

The speakers are crisp and clear and as other reviewers have stated, there is little/light bass. I just didn't know how little bass they had. I am sure some of this is compounded by the fact the stock radio from FORD is weak(maybe 14watts) thus the use of 1ohm speakers. But there is no real punch, I expected some bass to be there but it is not. I had bought four of these to put into my supercab but after listing to them I have decide to return one set and look for a speaker with less resistance and lower frequency response(under 30HZ).

Pros:

Great mid tones and crisp highs Better than the factory- the factories stuff sounded really "muddy"

Cons:

Next to no bass with the factory radio

Pioneer TS-A6874R = The speakers to upgrade from Factory

Terrific speakers. I expected them to be better than the Factory speakers....BUT I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE THIS GREAT!!! I have a 1998 Ford Taurus SE. I am currently unable to upgrade the Stereo with an aftermarket because I have electronic climate control (as oppose from the rotary climate control) and there are no stereo integration kit for that particular feature, which really sucks. But again, these are the speakers to upgrade from the factory speakers. Installed them on the 10th and they sound fantastic. Bass, percussion, vocals sound awesome (I listen to a lot of Hip Hop and R&B, if that helps anyone reading this). I wish I could upgrade the stereo with an aftermarket to get the FULL sound, but I'm still proud that I bought these speakers.

None that I'm aware of.

WOW! Pioneer TS-A6874R 6x8 of =4. (2) Front (2) Rear. These sound good in my Ford Mustang 2006 (AUTO) I can only assume why the rating are good & bad some say it's ok & read some say awesome! Well I say awesome! I can hear the difference the clear sound,bass,drums,etc.... The speakers are played with Pioneer DEH-4400HD. I also left a review as well. It depends on your like of BASS,DRUMS,etc. It is LOUD. My Volume on 34 is loud.

Installed in a Ford Mustang 2006 (AUTO) Pioneer DEH-4400HD Pioneer TS-A6874R 6x8 of =4. (2) Front (2) Rear NO AMP. This will give you a hint.

Pros:

You do get the clear sound.
