Features
Overview: The Alpine MC20 wireless remote commander kit gives
you multi-zone control over all your Alpine marine sources. In addition to control
over your Alpine marine head unit, you get full control over additional sources
like iPod, HD Radio, and Satellite Radio. The MC20 offers a full dot matrix LCD
display with backlighting so you can view song/artist/album info plus volume
levels and sub levels.
Marine Rated: The Alpine MC20 is has been marine tested and
features an IPx6 waterproof/iPx6 High Pressure WJ design so you can mount it
almost anywhere on your boat. The MC20 wireless remote is also Salt/Fog (ASTM
B117) certified, and UV (ASTM G154/D4329) certified.
Compatibility: The MC20 wireless remote control is compatible
with all Alpine marine head units that feature a wired-remote input and display
connector. The MC20 is also compatible with the Alpine RUE-M1RF remote control
kit.
RF Design: The Alpine MC20 wireless remote control kit includes
an RF wireless remote control and RF wireless transceiver. The wireless transceiver
plugs into the back of your compatible Alpine marine head unit using the
Steering Wheel remote
input and display input; while the wireless remote commander can be installed up to
30 feet away. The RF wireless transceiver allows the wireless remote commander and
your Alpine marine head unit to communicate over a 2.4GHz frequency.
Note: Both the wireless remote
commander and the wireless transceiver requires a
power and ground connection. When the transceiver
is connected to the head unit, the infrared pickup
on the head unit becomes inoperative.
Dual Zone Operation: The Alpine MC20 is compatible with Dual Zone
volume/mute control on select Alpine marine headunits (with CDA-118M only).
Installation: The remote commander features an integrated
bracket system allowing you to mount the remote in an accessible location. The
required installation measurements are approximately:
- Cutout Diameter: 2.0625"
- Mounting Depth: 2.3125"
- Overall Diameter: 3.8125"
- Mounting Height: 0.75"
LCD Display: The Alpine MC20 features a high contrast display
designed to work in direct sunlight so you can view song information and audio
functions.
Expandability: You can add additional RF remote commanders (MC2,
sold separately) to allow system control from multiple locations like the swim step,
open bow, or passenger area of your boat. You can program as many as eight remotes
to work with the same Alpine head unit.
