High Fidelity Sound System: The Soundfreaq Sound Step
Recharge high fidelity sound system delivers balanced, natural sound with smooth
bass, vocal clarity, & crisp highs that complement any genre of music.
2.1 Speaker Configuration: The Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge features
a 2.1 speaker configuration with a dedicated subwoofer in for clarity, detail, &
deep bass. Each driver features its own tuned acoustic chamber for a
UQ3 Spatial Sound Enhancement: Relative to larger speaker
system, compact home audio products have a relatively short distance between the
left & right speakers, resulting in limited stereo separation. UQ3 DSP
technology creates a psychoacoustic effect by controlling sound wave interaction
that enhances the perceived stereo separation. The benefit is that you get a
compact system while enjoying an immersive audio experience.
Audio Sources
Four Ways to Play: The Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge plays
audio from four different sources (Bluetooth, iPod dock, FM, & Aux) offering a
great deal of flexibility. Its easy to use with many different devices and share
with your family, friends, & co-workers.
Bluetooth Wireless: The Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge supports
Bluetooth (ver. 2.0) A2DP wireless audio streaming. The Soundfreaq's built-in
Bluetooth wireless function works with many A2DP compatible devices & wirelessly
plays any audio (including music & apps) that would otherwise play through the
device's internal speaker or headphone. The Sound Step Recharge's built-in Bluetooth
enables broad bandwidth transfer of high quality digital audio from up to 33'
away. The Sound Step Recharge's built-in Bluetooth supports many of today's most
popular Bluetooth enabled devices - such as your Apple mobile device (iPod
touch, iPhone, iPad); smartphone (Android, Blackberry, HTC, LG, Nokia, Motorola,
Samsung, Toshiba); & laptop (Windows/Mac).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology,
some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or
may not support all features when used with the Sound Step Recharge.
Apple Dock: The Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge features an Apple
30-pin dock connector with universal well for audio playback, remote control, &
charging of most docking Apple iPods, iPhones, & iPads. The Sound Step Recharge is
compatible with the following iPods, iPhones, & iPads (as of November 2011):

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change
functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may
need to reset the unit and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this
doesn't work, you may need to revert to the older software version or wait
until a newer software update is available.
Video Output (for iPod/iPhone/iPad): You can output video from your docked iPod,
iPhone, or iPad to your television via the Sound Step Recharge's rear-panel
composite video output. You can view video stored on your compatible iPod device
or streamed to your iPod device.
Aux Input: The Sound Step Recharge is fitted with a stereo 3.5mm
auxiliary jack that accepts input from almost any audio device with 3.5mm audio
output or headphone jack. This way, you can use the Sound Step Recharge to listen to
virtually any audio source you want.
FM Radio: The Sound Step Recharge is equipped with an
integrated FM tuner with digital stereo tuning and favorite station presets (up
to 20). An external FM wire antenna is included for enhanced reception.
Remote Control
Remote Control: The Sound Step Recharge comes with an IR
remote control to operate the system, your docked Apple device, or connected
Bluetooth device. The remote provides basic playback functions; such as
Play/Pause, Skip Next/Previous, & Fast Forward/Rewind.
Note: The remote control can be conveniently held in the
storage area on the bottom of the unit (magnetically).
Soundfreaq Remote App: When the Sound Step Recharge is connected
via Bluetooth, the free downloadable Soundfreaq Remote app lets you use your
compatible Apple iOS or Android device as the Sound Step Recharge's remote control &
to interface with the system's built-in FM radio tuner. You can manage your
tracks, playlist, volume, tone controls directly from your Apple iOS or Android
device. You can also see your track information & settings on your device's LCD
screen.
- Source Selection: Change the input source directly from
your Apple iOS or Android device (with Soundfreaq App installed) between -
Bluetooth, iPod dock, Aux In, & FM radio.
- Song Selection: Access the full library of songs on
your compatible Apple iOS or Android device. You can browse by playlist,
genre, artist, album, or song.
- Play Control: The Soundfreaq Remote App provides
Play/Pause & Skip Forward/Backward playback functions of the music that's
streaming or playing from the dock.
- Radio Control: The Soundfreaq Remote App lets you tune
radio stations & set/recall preset stations.
- Volume Control: You can also control volume, mute, &
tone control functions.
Note: You must be within 30' of the Sound Stack for the
Soundfreaq Remote App to function.
Soundfreaq Remote App Compatibility: The free Soundfreaq
Remote App is available for Apple iOS & Android.
Power Requirements
Built-In Rechargeable Battery: The Soundfreaq Sound Step Recharge's
built-in rechargeable battery lets you enjoy up to 6 hours of playback time,
while letting you take the Sound Step Recharge anywhere with you around your
home or office. The battery can be recharged using the supplied AC power
adapter.
External AC Power Supply: The Soundfreaq Sound Stack also
operates off of standard household AC current using the supplied external AC
power adapter.

USB Power Port: The unit is fitted with a rear-panel USB
(type-A) power port that charges compatible devices including mobile phones &
wireless headsets (your device must allow USB charging).
