You don't need much to start a party — just a smartphone or tablet and a Yamaha PDX-B11 portable speaker system. Stream tunes wirelessly to the PDX-B11 from your favorite Bluetooth-compatible portable player or laptop. The system is compatible with iPhones®, iPads® as well as Android™ smartphones and tablets. The compact PDX-B11 runs on AC power or batteries. Listen to it around the house or grab the metal handle and go!

Inside the unique octagonal case is a powerful 4" woofer to punch out mids and lows, and a 1-3/8" tweeter to deliver the high frequencies. And because it's a mono system, the sound is concentrated so it can really kick. The system delivers up to eight hours of non-stop music with 6 "AA" batteries (available separately). Or use the AC adapter to keep the music going when your at home.

Overview: The Yamaha PDX-B11 is a portable, powerful speaker system designed specifically for Bluetooth-enabled devices and other audio devices which feature a 3.5mm audio output. The PDX-B11 is battery powered & offers a convenient carry handle, so you can listen to your iPod/iPhone's music around the house, at the office, or outdoors (not weather-proof).

Rugged Exterior (with multiple colors): Yamaha designed the octagon-shaped body to deliver stability, toughness, & style. You can choose from two colors (black or gray) each accented by a color-matched, perforated steel grille.

Portable Design: The Yamaha PDX-B11 is the ideal music companion for indoor or outdoor use. The PDX-B11 can operate off of batteries (6 "AA" batteries; not included) & features a metal carrying handle so you can take it with you, wherever you go.

2-Way Speaker System: The Yamaha PDX-B11 houses a unique two-way speaker system with a large 4" woofer that ensures strong bass & mid-range, plus a dedicated 1.1875" tweeter for the higher frequencies. The PDX-B11 uses a bass-reflex cabinet for greater efficiency & added bass response. Created & tuned by Yamaha professional audio experts, this system delivers extremely accurate bass along with crystal clear highs.

Built-in Bluetooth: The Yamaha PDX-B11 features built-in Bluetooth A2DP technology (ver. 2.1+EDR) which allows you to wirelessly connect with your Bluetooth-enabled Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, Blackberry, or laptop/computer. The unit can be paired with up to 8 devices. Once paired, the PDX-B11 will automatically re-connect to the last device used. You can wirelessly stream audio to the Yamaha PDX-B11, while controlling your music from the Bluetooth-enabled device.

Aux Input: The PDX-B11features a rear-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input for connecting an external audio device with a standard 3.5mm audio output or headphone jack. Cable not included.

Power Requirements: The Yamaha PDX-B11 can operate off of standard household AC current using the supplied external AC power adapter, or battery using 6 "AA" batteries (not included). 6 "AA" batteries provide up to approximately 8 hours of playback time.
