Video: Bose® Lifestyle® V20 system and Lifestyle® V30 system
Crutchfield home theater experts discuss the Bose® Lifestyle® V20 system and Lifestyle® V30 system in this short video.
Ralph: Hi, I'm Ralph.
Chris: And I'm Chris. And we're here in Crutchfield's studio to talk to you a little bit about the Bose® Lifestyle® V20 and V30 home theater systems. They come in both black and white. This is the V30 in black, and these are just very room-friendly hideaway systems.
Ralph: Right. If you're a fan of Bose® sound, then you're going to be really impressed, I think, stepping up to this system from those little itty-bitty speakers that you have on your TV. The V20 and the V30 systems both have a center channel speaker that handles most of the dialogue from movies and such, front channel speakers, and rear channel speakers. And both the V20 and the V30 speakers have this feature where you can angle them to position the sound pretty much where you want to. And in fact the only real difference between the V20 and the V30 — this is the V30 — is the V20 speakers are just a little bit bigger. Now, they both also have an Acoustimass module to handle the bass. And that means that your soundtracks and music will have a little bit more "oomph" in the low end.
Chris: Another really nice thing is this media console that you're going to be hooking your components up to — like your Blu-ray player or your gaming system. You can tuck this inside a cabinet or on a low shelf and just get it completely out of the way. Then you have this thin LCD display panel that shows you what's playing, and you can switch the components on top here, and adjust volume.
Chris: It's really nice. Like all Bose® systems, this one is super-easy to get hooked up. It comes with all the cables that you'll need, and the speaker wire is even color-coded, so you can't miss with it at all. Bose® even includes an HDMI cable, which is rare with these systems, so that's a nice feature.
Ralph: Right. And the other nice thing about having this cable is that the media center can upconvert to 1080p. So this [holds up HDMI cable] connected to this [indicates media console] means that you'll get a great picture on your TV.
Chris: Right. So there you go — some of the key features about the Bose® Lifestyle® V20 and V30 home theater systems.
