Video: Kenwood Excelon Reference Fit Amplifiers
The Reference Fit line of amplifiers from Kenwood Excelon packs a ton of power into a small chassis. These amps hit hard and can fit into tight spaces, if needed. Zak: I'm at the Kenwood booth at CES 2013 and Matt, tell us about the new Excelon Reference Fit amplifiers.
Matt: So we'll have three new amplifiers in the Reference Fit line, which are designed to be a really small chassis with a lot of power. The two — XR600-1 and the XR400-4 model — will only be 1-1/8" deep but will offer a lot of power. The Excelon XR600-1 will be 700 watts x 1 at 2-ohms and the XR400-4 will be 60 watts x 4 and can be bridged to be used with a subwoofer or high range speakers. So the XR900-5 basically combines the X600-1 and X400-4 into one chassis. It will offer a 60 x 4 4-channel amplifier as well as a 700 x 1 mono amplifier that can be ran at 2-ohms.
