Features
Product Overview: The MTX ThunderLink
XTL210P is a self-contained powered subwoofer system which includes a 10"
woofer and a 10" passive radiator. It is powered by a 200-watt amplifier at
a 2-ohm load.
Mounting System: The unit is designed to
be mounted behind the front seat in a pickup truck, to the back seat of a car or
SUV firing into the truck or cargo area, or mounted to a car's rear deck firing
down. It can
be mounted vertically or horizontally using the included adjustable mounting brackets
located on the side of the box. The enclosure also includes 4 mounting holes
each along the top and bottom edges of the box for added security. The
dimensions with the brackets installed are:
- Vertical:
- Width: 38.1875"
- Height: 16.062"
- Depth: 6.5625"
- Horizontal:
- Width: 38.1875"
- Height: 6.5625"
- Depth: 16.062:
Drivers: The XTL210P uses one 10"
high-performance woofer and one 10" passive radiator for high output bass
response. The woofers are designed to fire forward, backward or downward
depending on mounting location
Amplifier: The XTL210P utilizes an
integrated, efficient and compact 200 Watt at 2-ohm amplifier that is fan cooled
to drive the 10" woofer and 10" passive radiator.
Controls: The XTL210P features the
following easy accessible controls located on the front of the self-amplified
enclosure.
- Gain: Fine-tunes the input
sensitivity of the unit's internal amplifier to your head-units output
level; adjusts from 250mV to 5V.
- Crossover: 40-120Hz continuously variable
crossover.
- Bass Boost: Boosts bass frequencies
of 40Hz from 0 to +12dB.
- Phase Switch: Inverts the amplifier's
output phase by 180 degrees to ensure the frequency interaction between the
speakers is consistent within your vehicle.
Wired Bass Control: You
can control the bass-level of the XTL210P from your driver's seat when you
connect the remote control module. When the Electronic Bass Control is plugged
into the unit, it will never supersede where the gain on the built-in amplifier
of the subwoofer enclosure is set. The wired remote comes supplied with an
mounting bracket and two self-tapping mounting screws to secure the remote to a
flat surface inside your vehicle. A 20' cable is attached and plugs into the
3.5mm plug on back of the
subwoofer enclosure labeled EBC.
Bi-Level Inputs: The XTL210P
is equipped with two line-level RCA inputs on the back-side of the box that will
accept high-level and low-level audio signals. The self-amplified enclosure
comes with a pair of 10.5' RCA to speaker-level adapter cables in-case your
head-unit is not equipped with RCA preamp outputs to provide speaker-level in.
Power/Ground/Turn-On Terminals: The XTL210P
utilizes gold-plated set-screw terminals on the rear-panel for a solid
connection and current transfer for your power, ground and turn-on lead wires.
MTX recommends using 8 or 10 gauge power and ground wire for installation.
Smart-Engage Auto-Turn-On: An auto turn on
circuit is included within the amplifier. The amplifier will automatically turn
on when music is received. A remote turn-on wire is not necessary when
connecting the amplifier's high-level input adapters to your high-powered
head-unit. A remote wire will be necessary when using RCA cables from the source
unit.
