Overview: The Boyo VTG43 4.2" multi-function rear-view
mirror monitor features built-in navigation and Bluetooth communication. The
VTG43 clips onto your vehicle's existing mirror or can be a full replacement
mirror. The Boyo VTB42M provides three composite video inputs to connect your
back-up camera (such as the
707VTB170, sold separately), DVD player, and game system. The Boyo VTG43
also allows playback of audio/video files via an SD-card slot.

Rear-View Mirror Monitor: The Boyo VTG43 multi-function rear-view
mirror monitor features a built-in 7.0" mirror and integrated 4.3" touchscreen
display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels; supporting 262k colors. The 4.3"
touchscreen display provides a 120° horizontal
viewing-angle and a 90° vertical viewing-angle, with a 400:1 contrast ratio.
Multilingual: The Boyo VTG43's display can be set to English, French,
Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, or
Arabic.
Mounting: The Boyo VTG43 can be clipped over your existing
rear-view mirror, or it can totally replace your rear-view mirror (using the
included mounting bracket).
Navigation
GPS Receiver: The Boyo VTG43 is equipped with Samsung's 2440
400MHz processor and a high-sensitivity GPS SiRF III receiver for dependable and
fast navigation. The unit uses Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites, and a
digital roadway map database to calculate and display travel directions. The
system's GPS antenna receives signals from a constellation of 24 satellites
orbiting the earth and uses the strongest of signal, to determine your position
to within meters.
Navteq Map Database: The Boyo VTG43 features Navteq's Map Database
preloaded with maps of US, Canada, and Puerto Rico; offering 11 million POI's
(points-of-interests). The map database was created using high-resolution aerial
and land based data collection.
Note: Car navigation maps are frequently updated. While the
database was judged to be as accurate as possible at the time of its
release, a map database can never be 100% accurate. Road information
that is maintained in the map databases, such as turn restriction or road
name may change over time.
NavMate Software: NavMate navigation software provides turn-by-turn
route guidance while traveling to your destination. NavMate software provides
turn-by-turn visual and voice assistance (text-to-speech) to direct you to your
selected destination. The software calculates step-by-step- directions to any
destination available on the included navigation map.
Navigator Program Storage: The unit's navigation maps and software are
loaded onto a 2GB SD-card (pre-inserted).
Vehicle Position: The NavMate's software's computer considers vehicle
speed and heading changes, together with longitude and latitude information, to
accurately determine vehicle heading and position on the digital map.
Destination Search: The Boyo VTG43 provides various destination search
functions. You can select Home Address, Office Address, State or Province,
Address or Intersection, Point of Interest, Coordinates (Longitude/Latitude),
Favorites (Address Book/Trail Book/Trip Book), History, or Browse map.
Search Modes: There are various ways to select your specific destination.
Several of the methods allow you to move through a list by scrolling using the
arrow keys (List Mode), or by searching using an on-screen keyboard (Spell
Mode). Many of the lists keep track of the last five most recently used (MRU)
selections. These are placed at the top of the list in a different color and
allow you to quickly select items that are used frequently.
Map Display: The Map Display shows roads, road names, and cartographic
features. You can adjust the map scale, map orientation, map view, status
information display, and the distance units to your own preference. You can also
determine if the map is always displayed with the North direction at the top of
the screen, or if the map is always adjusted so the vehicle symbol points toward
the top of the screen.
Route Preferences: You can determine how the unit's built-in
navigation software will calculate your route by setting the following
preferences. Select between the following - Car or Walk Route, Shortest or
Fastest Route, Avoid Freeways or Tolls, and Use Ferries.
Simulation: This function lets you preview the route that
has been calculated for your destination.
Trip Computer: The Trip Computer gives the readings for speed
(avg/max), trip related timing (total/stop/drive), elevation, odometer, and
clock.
Auto Recalculation: If you leave the current route, the NavMate
software will automatically recalculate the route.
Detour: You can create a Detour to avoid a current road, to avoid the
next road, to avoid a specific road, or to detour around a certain distance.
Bluetooth
Built-in Bluetooth: The Boyo VTG43 offers built-in Bluetooth
communication (V1.2) for hands-free operation of your Bluetooth enabled
cell-phone. The VTG43 allows you to make and answer calls using the monitor's
touchscreen.
Built-in Mic & Speaker: The Boyo VTG43 features a front-panel
microphone and rear-panel speaker.
SD-Card
SD-Card Slot: The Boyo VTG43 is equipped with an SD-card slot for the
unit's Navigation software & map database 2GB SD card. You can eject the
navigation SD-card and insert another SD-card (up to 4GB) for playback of audio/video files.
Note: When you eject the navigation SD-card, the unit's Navigation
features will not longer function until the navigation SD-card is
reinserted.
Multimedia Playback: The unit's SD-card slot will support audio
(MP3/WMA/WAV) files, video (AVI/MP4/MPG/WMV) files, still-image (JPG/GIF/BMP/PNG)
files, and E-book (TXT) files.
AV Inputs
AV Input: The Boyo TVG43 is equipped with one AV input which consists
of a composite video jack and mono-RCA audio jack, so you can connect your
external ATSC tuner, DVD player, or game system.
2 Video Inputs: The Boyo VTG43 features two composite video inputs to
connect your rear-view camera and other video source. This unit does not feature
a reverse trigger wire for your rear-view camera.
FM Transmitter: The Boyo VTG43 multi-function rear-view mirror monitor
features a built-in FM transmitter to output audio to your vehicle's stereo
system over its FM radio. The FM transmitter allows you to select between
87-108MHz FM frequency bands.
