Our take on the Installation Edge Crimp Caps

Crimp caps are useful for many different types of car audio and security installations. Unless your in-dash receiver comes with bullet connectors on the speaker and power leads (and most don't), you'll need to use crimp caps to connect your Crutchfield wiring harness to the receiver's wires. You can also use a crimp cap to insulate the end of a single unused wire, to prevent it from shorting out. The bag contains 100 closed end crimp caps, designed for 14- to 18-gauge wire. Warranty: 30 days.

These work great!

Written By JP, Washington, Nc on Saturday, February 05, 2011

These work well for connecting any wiring. They crimp well and prevent bare wiring from
touching, grounding on anything, and make for a better appearance.

I'll never use any other method of connecting 2 wires together. These made the installation of the receiver a pleasure.

Glad I ordered these

The clear plastic makes installation fool-proof. These caps are perfect for this application and resulted in solid connections every time. Obviously ended up with a few left over, but I'm sure I'll find other uses for them in the future.

Good Wire Caps

good wire caps. price was a little high. i like the fact that they are clear colored caps, because you can see the wires at the tip of the cap.

Quick and easy

Written By Jonathan, Seattle, WA on Friday, August 28, 2009

These caps are awesome because you basically just shove the wires in and smash it shut. If you mess up just crimp it the perpendicular to the original crimp to release the wires. Also you get 100 for 4 bucks, and at local stores its 3 bucks for 10... You do the math
