Your amp needs big power wires in order to deliver top performance to your sound system. Rockford Fosgate's RFK4D amplifier wiring kit supplies everything you'll need to send power and signal to two amps and your speakers. It's designed for amplifiers with fuse ratings totaling up to 100 amperes.

The kit includes two distribution blocks, 4-gauge power and ground cables, 8-gauge power and ground cables, speaker wire, two patch cables, a fuse holder, a 100-amp fuse, and more. Rockford Fosgate makes these cables from 100% pure crystal-oxygen free copper wire so you can count on maximum signal transfer.

    Features

    General Overview: This is a dual amplifier wiring kit that includes 4-gauge and 8-gauge power and ground cables, power distribution blocks, turn-on leads, two pairs of stereo RCA cables, a 30' length of 16-AWG speaker wire and other accessories required to install two amplifiers.

    High Strand Power/Ground Cable: The power and ground cable are 100% Pure Crystal-Oxygen Free Copper (PC-OFC) and meet or exceed AWG (American Wire Gauge) requirements. For example, the included 4-gauge power and ground wires each have 1,862 copper strands, compared to the 735 copper strands which meets the standard.

    In-line Fuse Holder: The included in-line fuse holder attached to the power cable comes with a 100-amp MAXI-type fuse.

    Power Distribution: The kit includes two unfused power distribution blocks. Each block has a single input and three outputs. There are insert sleeves that allow you to use multiple sizes of wire: a 1/0 gauge-to-4 gauge sleeve for the input, and three 4 gauge-to-8 gauge sleeves for the output.

    Patch Cables: There are two 16' RCA patch cables included, each with twisted pair design for noise rejection, and a split center pin that helps secure the connections at both ends.

    Speaker Wire: The amplifier kit comes supplied with high strand 16-AWG speaker wire for increased sound transfer.

    Accessories: The kit includes the following accessories needed for amplifier installation:

    • Ring terminal for 4-gauge wire and rubber boot
    • Spade terminals for 16-gauge speaker wires with red and black rubber boots
    • Female quick slides for 16-gauge speaker wires
    • Butt connectors for splicing together wires
    • Grommet for routing 4-gauge power wire through the firewall
    • Wire ties for securing wires to the vehicle

    Really Useful Kit

    All the cables had ample length for my install and even the 4 ga. power and ground cables were very flexible and easy to route thru the car. The only drawbacks, IMO, were the power dist. blocks did not provide or offer any covers for any unused output lug's, and the 8 ga. power and ground wires were not supplied with connectors to connect the cables to the amp(s). Other than these two trivial faults, the kit was fantastic.
    Pros:

    Cons:

    The Rockford Fosgate amplifer wiring kit was well worth the cost. It came with everything I needed to install my two amps. My installation went very quick do to having everything I needed in one kit.
    Pros:
    Almost everything I needed was in one kit. Plenty of power wire and speaker wire. The junction blocks having holes so I could quickly secure them to the truck.
    Cons:
    The only negative was I did not have the exact connertors to plug in the power to my sub.

    Loaded with everything you will need. The 30ft of speaker wire was plenty for my 2010 Civic sedan (a set of components) and the 4 gauge wire was suprisingly pliable for such a thick cord.

    The whole kit is well organized, and I had no issues wiring the power wire under the car. However I drive an 01 s40 so a larger car will have to go through the cabin. And put the fuse in on the main power wire before you fasten it anywhere.

    Almost all the cables have tons on length and thickness. RCAs have plenty of length to

    Could have more speaker wire. Distributor blocks takes the 4 gauge, but only sends out 8.

    Great buy, got it half price when I bought my RF T-500-1BDCP so the price was great. It has all the gear to setup 2 amps and also leaves room for later additions. I have been using RF wiring for 12 years with excellent results. The wires is greater in diameter than the other brands instead of having a thicker insulation to fool you. Its very flexible and easy to work with. I am skeptical about the open side fuse holder as others are, but I am going to give it a good ole college try. Would also like 20 feet of 4 gauge instead of 17 feet. All in all great kit, great value, and would recommend it, and buy it again.
    Pros:
    Great value when bought with an amp and get it half off. Great quality heavy duty wire, includes almost everything you may possibly need. Very flexible and easy to work with.
    Cons:
    Wish the 4 gauge was 20 feet instead if 17 feet, unsure how long the open main fuse holder will withstand the under hood elements.

    This kit was easy to use & definitely does the job, but it has about 80% more parts than I needed. If I could have bought just a splitter block and the 4 & 8 gauge wiring I needed, I'm sure I could have saved at least 50%.

    This kit has more than enough material for at least 3amps, the descriptions on the package says it does not include a distribution block BUT there are two blocks which have 3 outputs each. As always crutchfield support is awesome!!

    Great product for wiring up two amps. The only thing I didn't care for was the fuse holder. It doesn't enclose the entire fuse so it is not water tight. Other than that great product.

    The most important parts are of superb quality

    The actual amp cable is of superb quality. Basically all of the hardware has a top notch feel to it... except the signal cables and the speaker wire.

    The speaker wire isn't even copper, it's of a silver color, and is probably some sort of inferior copper alloy. I did not splice open the signal cable, but through the translucent jacket, they too appear to be made of the same stuff.

    This is disappointing because these extra pieces are one of the main reasons I went with this kit. (I think this is the only kit with these extras)

    If you are getting run of the mill replacements for your stock system, I say use these included cables and wire. But if you're going with top notch components, it wouldn't make sense to these throw-in items. I will be ordering high quality speaker wire and signal cables for my system.

    Despite this, the kit is still worth the money.

    pros:
    awesome kit for the price. i am running two amps (a 4 channel and a mono) and i
    have no problems with the sound.

    cons:
    for my 03 mdx, the rca's ran short. and i didnt care much for the fuse. its
    rather hard to see once placed inside the holder.

    overall, i would strongly recommend. great support as usual from the
    crutchfield team.

    If you have 2 amps to install, do yourself a huge favor and get this kit. I thought it was a little pricey at first, but for everything this kit contains and it's quality overall are well worth it.
    I had a single 4 channel amp, and was adding a mono amp for a subwoofer. This kit includes everything you need for a relatively quick and clean install of 2 amps.

    This kit includes everything you need to hook up two amps but it doesn't include
    another piece of wiring for the capacitor as well as a third set of RCA's if you are
    running head unit with three sets of pre-outs. Anyway, this unit is awesome
    because you won't be running back and forth to the store cause it has everything
    you need for wire runs as well as hooking up both your amps. Awesome!!!!

    I checked out the other wiring kits for single and dual amps, and this kit by far had the most for your money! I used this to power both my speaker and sub amps. If you are looking to power 2 amps this kit is a no brainer.

    This is an excellent kit. Wire and distribution blocks are very high quality. If you're putting in a new amp, main speakers, and a sub as I did, this has everything you'll need to do the install. The speaker wire included in the kit is only single insullated 16 guage though... You might want to buy better, double shielded speaker wire.
