Non-Pressed paper cone: The cone is made of spruce pulp paper that has been treated with a water resistant Poly Vinyl Acetate emulsion. This provides cone rigidity and lowers distortion. Additionally, the combination of weight and strength allows for high output levels without cone break up.

Aluminum voice coil: For highly efficient thermal transfer the voice coil is constructed with a black voice coil formed from anodized aluminum. This makes the voice coil highly efficient in dissipating heat thus improving the power handling capacity.

Dual laminated spider: This type of spider provides a strong suspension for the subwoofer cone which results in higher excursion capabilities.

Hyper-Extended pole piece: Better low frequency response is obtained by having a more linear magnetic field surrounding the subwoofers voice coil.

Foam Surround: Double treated foam for the front suspension is proven to add mechanical strength and reliability.

Vented bumped back plate: This type of construction allows the subwoofer cone to make greater excursions without bottoming out. Therefore, the speaker can be used in a smaller enclosure. The back vent enables the circulation of cool air to the voice coil.

Rubber sealant gasket: A heavy, removable rubber gasket provides a good airtight seal for best performance when mounting the woofer.

Chrome plated push terminals: These heavy duty speaker terminals can directly accept large gauge wire or pin connectors.

Chrome plated magnet and basket: Good looking chrome plating covers the full back surface of the woofer for an attractive installation.

Enclosure Compatibility

Recommended Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Visonik range from 1.0 cu/ft to 1.5 cu/ft.

Recommended Ported Box Volume: Visonik recommends a ported enclosure with an internal volume of 2.0 cu/ft. Two 3" diameter x 12" long ports should be used with a 2.0 cu/ft enclosure.
