Features

Overview: The Channel Master 3016 antenna has 24 elements and receives FM, UHF, and VHF frequencies, both digital and analog. It can be mounted on a roof, to the chimney, on a wall, or in an attic.

Mounting: The saddle bracket, crossarm bracket, and U-bolt are used to mount the antenna to the mast. The outer diameter of the mast should be between 1-1/4 and 1-1/2 inches.

Turning Radius: If using a rotor on the antenna mast, make sure a 41" turning radius around the antenna is clear of obstruction.

Grounding: The antenna and mast should be properly grounded. Grounding provides lightning protection for the antenna and your TV set. Note: No grounding hardware is provided with the antenna.

Connections: The included transformer is connected to the antenna tap-off points using the included wing nuts. The other end of the transformer has a female F-type connector. The included waterproof rubber weather boot should be installed over the cable connection to guard against corrosion. Note: Coax cable is not provided, RG-6 is recommended.

Operating Range: all distances are approximate, actual performance depends on too many variables to predict accurately

  • UHF Channels (14-69): 30 miles
  • VHF Channels (2-13): 45 miles
  • FM Radio: 45 miles

Gain: The average gain across the frequency band:

  • VHF Lo: 1.2 dB
  • VHF Hi: 7.9 dB
  • UHF: 7.7 dB

Excellent Antenna. Used a splitter on cable from antenna to provide connection to 3 TV's. Good reception on all 3. Antenna is mounted on the roof and pointed at a relay tower which is about 10 miles away.

Great Antenna

Written By William, Clifton, NJ on Friday, November 21, 2008
Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I installed this in my attic replacing an antenna that was installed 25 years ago. Digital signal strength was good to poor on the old antenna.

With this antenna the install was simple and the signal strength went up to good to excellent and with all of the digital channels being broadcast who needs cable
