Basic Foundation stands are made with sturdy MDF (the same material used in many quality speaker cabinets) to resist unwanted resonance. Their twin contoured pillar design offers rock-steady support. Speaker wires run down a groove between the pillars — a snap-in black cover completely conceals the wires from sight, leaving just the clean lines of the stand. The stands come with triangular isolation pads for the top plate, to protect the speaker's finish, and provide additional resonance damping.

    Overview: The BF16b speaker stands are constructed of MDF, which offers superior strength and resists unwanted resonance. The twin contoured pillars are aligned in a "V" configuration, offering additional rigidity and providing for the Speaker Cable Management System. A cover snaps into channels on the back of the pillars, hiding the cables from view. The supplied floor spikes further minimize resonance and provide stability on carpeting. The special triangular isolation pads are placed on the top plate for speaker protection and acoustic isolation.

    Note: Each stand can support up to 25 pounds.

    cheap but look great

    I have some fairly heavy ADS speakers and these stands work fine with them. They look good too.

    Decent speaker stands

    Easy to assemble, stable and nice looking. Didn't have an issue with the wood splitting that the other reviewer mentioned. In my experience, the only oddity worth mentioning is in regards to the holes drilled into the base and support platform that are intended to allow the speaker wire to be routed through them. The holes are pretty small, so if you're using heavy-gauge wire you're probably not going to be able to route the cable through the holes without spending a little time with a wood file to widen the holes. You certainly won't be able to route the cable through the hole if you're using banana plugs (not a big deal if you're using the screw-on type).

    Easy assembly, nice looking

    Aside from the speaker wire hole oddity, none

    great value for the price. I did have the wood split during assembly, only on one screw hole ( and in the rear, so its not visable). But overall the speakers sit nice on stands and sound great. My speakers are B&W, isolation is good as sanus provides rubber pads. For the price , you cant beat them and assembly is very easy!

    easy to assemble, look good, speakers sound good placed on them
    Cons:
    wood splits in the rear, due to design. I tried drilling the screw holes larger and screw stripped out.

    Great for the price, parts were missing from the package, called up Sanus and getting the parts in the mail within 72 hours, other then that my bookshelf speakers sit great on them, Also I'm sure you know already but cant get better then Cructhfield service!!!
