1989 Mazda B2200

I have these mounted on the front lower bottom of the door underneath the door handle in a 1989 Mazda B2200 Regular Cab. Had to shorten the door handles a little and made wood enclosures for the speakers about 2" thick to extend it out from the door panel so the rear speaker magnet would clear the inside of the door cavity.Have it hooked to a Kenwood CD and old 75Watt kenwood amp. These things rock , early Van Halen , Iron Maiden , Zakk Wylde Black Label society, Country Music.

Great Speakers

Speakers sound great, I put them in my 2005 civic coupe (SI-G,EX) The site says they won't fit but do perfectly in fact I Used the original screws and holes to mount. They also clear the trunk springs by 1/2 inch or so

Pros:

Great sounding speakers dont need amp to run

Cons:

site sould be updated to reflect they fit 2001-2005 civic coupe without modification

Bought these speakers to replace the stock 6x9's in my daughter's car. These are an upgrade from the factory speakers and have good audio response and crisp sound, especially in the mid and high ranges. The low range is a little weak, so if you're looking for thundering bass, you may want to look at a more expensive speaker or add a sub. Installation was a snap with the provided Crutchfield instructions and wiring harness.

These speakers are a nice, economical upgrade to the factory installed sound system in the Jeep Patriot Sport. You can hear the highs and lows much more clearly. The Crutchfield installation instructions and wiring harnesses make it easy for anyone to install these speakers.

Pros:

Very simple upgrade to the standard sound system, with a nice improvement in sound.

Cons:

These speakers won't ever sound like a mega buck system, but they don't cost mega bucks either.

Poor Quality

Thoroughly disappointed. I purchased this product as my 2012 Altima came without a rear deck speakers. The guides that Crutchfield provided were very very helpful as I did not realize installing these speakers required me to remove almost all the molding and some 15 screws. So props to Crutchfield on that.

Aside from the installation guide help, the speakers were poor quality. The factory speakers that I have thoroughly outperform these speakers in every way. Bass quality is poor and has to power. Mid's and Highs are decent but again the front speakers, which are factory, are superior. I have had 3 different people ride in my car and all can easily notice the lack of power and quality (even my GF who is not very audio savvy).

I purchased 2 sets of Pioneers about 8 years ago for my old car and was very impressed. I wanted to remain loyal to the brand due to the quality I received in the past and the cost/value quotient. I was disappointed this time. I will be reaching out to Crutchfield team for assistance on returning these speakers and trading up for a more expensive brand with a more proven track record.

Please consider a different product.

These speakers are great if you're looking for something to give you good audio, the bass is ok. But really if you're looking for bass get a subwoofer, this compliments subs greatly.

Cons:

Not a lot of bass from them, but if you want bass you should get a sub.

For the price these speakers are not bad at all. Huge upgrade over factory 6X9's with very clear midrage and tweeters but the bass response is a little weak. I have these Pioneers wired up to a Sound Ordnance M4075 along with a 12" Mtx 5500. Overall a good buy but if you are looking for a set of 6X9's with a little more low end I would recommend to spend a little more money and upgrade.

3 way speaker at a good price, clear mids and highs, easy install

bass response

Great Upgrade

I bought a set of these from bestbuy and i put them in my 2001 toyota solara SE. they are definitely a great convenient upgrade from my stock ones. Bass is a little lacking at first but when you adjust to the FAD accordingly you do not notice any distortion. I am the envy of my friends and am now going to be putting a set into my friends 2008 dodge avenger.

Pros:

cheap, convenient, good sound, simple installation

Cons:

bass and fad are constantly adjusted.

Put these in a 2004 Toyota Corolla to replace the stock speakers. Had to drill new holes, but it wasn't terribly hard. These speakers are a HUGE upgrade. Can definitely notice a big difference in sound quality and even quite a bit more bass. It isn't window rattling bass like you'd get with a sub, but for a compact car with a stock deck it is pretty good. Would definitely recommend.

I installed these Pioneer speakers in my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 doors. These speakers are a direct replacement for the factory 6 x 9's even though Crutchfield indicates they will not fit. There is more than enough room for any speaker that has a top mount depth of 2 7/8". These Pioneers have a nice crisp sound that is more powerful than the Sony 5 1/4s that I replaced. This is the way to go for better sound than factory speakers and the price is right.

These speakers put out a great amount of clear sound. I do not have an amplifier and they still are very loud and do not lose sound quality unless you really crank the volume. The price was right for these speakers and Crutchfield made it very easy to install them into my 2005 Toyota Corolla. For those who are interested in the looks of the speakers, they are very good looking speakers with the covers that come along with them. A++

I've always been satisfied with the price, quality, and value of Pioneer speakers
and this item is no different. One of the most simple and cost effective ways to
improve the sound of your stock head unit. The sound is crisp, mids are a little
sharp, but tolerable, and nice body on the bass range. From past experience, if
you add an amplifier, these speakers will blow you away for the price.

I got these for my wife's car and the difference is great. She doesn't even have
an amp connected and the sound is so clear and no distortion. If your looking
for something to replace factory speakers these will do. Not too powerful just
perfect for the wife.

Once the originals (paper coned factory speakers) were removed, installation
went well. It was necessary to drill all new holes for the speakers attachment to
rear shelf. Once installed, everything worked fine (vast improvement). I had to
splice the wires that came in the box with the included connectors (wires for
included connectors were too short). Master sheets helped a lot.

Although there is no recomended 6x9 for the front doors on my 97 Ram 2500 extended
cab 4x4, I took some measurements and did some comparitive shopping for top mount
depth. I found these fit perfectly, however, no room for a baffle. This 6x9 had the lowest
and highest frequency range, with a pwr rating perfect for a stock Dodge stereo. They do
not have the "color" that a 'high end' speaker might have, but there is No distortion
through the full volume range at full bass or treble. They push way more air than the
stock 5 & 1/4's. Thank you again Crutchfield!
