Crafted from natural tan leather, this case is a stylish throwback to the fine camera cases of your grandparents' era. The fully detachable cover is designed to accommodate the Q's 01 standard prime lens. The interior half case attaches to the Q's body by screwing into the camera's tripod socket on the base. The core material is a molded EVA plastic which helps the case maintain its form and adds protection.

The case is complemented by a matching leather carrying strap.

Features

Overview: The Pentax Q Vintage Leather Case features a two-piece design, including a body half-case and a fully detachable wraparound cover. The case is made to accommodate the Pentax Q camera with the 01 Standard Prime lens attached. A leather camera strap is included that can replace the strap that comes with the camera.

Materials: The case and strap are made from high quality natural tan leather. The half-case and front cover feature a molded EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) core to give it extra support and rigidity so the case maintains its form. The half-case attaches to the camera's tripod socket. The wraparound cover fastens to the half-case with three snaps. Inside, the case has a soft backing material to protect the camera and LCD from scratches.

My dad didn't have a Pentax camera — but he had a case just like this one for his camera. Pentax has nailed the look and the feel of the old 35mm camera cases with this one. The leather's smooth and supple, so it wraps easily around the camera. The lens covering is reinforced so you can be sure it will protect the lens. But the thing I like best about this case is the smell. It has that tanned leather smell that recalls fond memories of photo expeditions with my dad.
