Features

Overview: The On-Q WP3425-WH is a white plastic Keystone insert with a single speaker outlet, designed to be used with On-Q Keystone straps or wall plates. The speaker outlet has screw-down clamps for up to 12-gauge speaker wire. In addition to this insert, you will need a Keystone outlet strap, wall plate, and the appropriate in-wall wiring.

Installation Overview: The On-Q Keystone connectors (also available in F-type connectors, Cat 5/RJ-45, RJ25, binding posts, and multi-colored RCA jacks) provide terminals for in-wall audio and video cables in a single-gang or dual-gang box. Outlet straps, into which the keystone connectors snap, are available in 1, 2, 3, 4, or 6 port versions. Matching wall plates (also with single or multiple ports) cover the outlet straps and wiring for a clean installation.

Easy, compact, works well

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I bought four of these little guys to wire my surround speakers. Two of them are snapped into a plate by the stereo system. The other two are in a plate on the opposite wall. All of the wiring runs down the wall and through the basement leaving a nice, finished appearance upstairs. The best thing about these particular speaker connectors is that they are compact. A single four-port wall plate can hold two of these speaker jacks, an F-connector (cable TV) and an RJ-45 jack (network/phone). Other speaker connectors I saw had only one conductor, not two, requiring twice as much space (and twice as much money).

Pros:

Compact. Fits in standard wall plate.

Cons:

The screws that secure the wire can get out of whack (presumably during shipping). Easily fixed by unscrewing all the way until you hear a slight click and then tightening again.
