Overview: The iHome iA100 is an FM alarm clock radio with an
integrated Apple dock, built-in Bluetooth communication, and an auxiliary input.
The iHome iA100 also includes a wireless remote control. The iHome iA100 is the
perfect bedroom solution for your iPod, iPhone, iPad, or other compatible audio
device.
Reson8 Speaker Chambers: The iHome iA100 uses 4 specially designed
drivers (2 front-firing/2 side-firing) in a compact stereo configuration to
deliver a premium sound solution for the bedroom, powered by Bongiovi Acoustics
DPS (Digital Power Station).
Bongiovi Acoustics Digital Power Station Bongiovi Acoustics DPS
provides real-time digital signal processing that extends audio bandwidth and
adds missing harmonics without adding peak output to the signal. It effectively
improves brightness, clarity and presence and delivers deeper, more resonant
bass and crystal clear highs to your compressed music.
Adjustable EQ: The iHome iA100 offers a built-in EQ which allows you
to adjust Bass, Mid, Treble, 3D and Balance settings to customize your sound.
Apple Dock: The iHome iA100's top-panel, pivoting Apple docking
system features a universal dock design that supports charging, audio playback,
menu navigation, and
app-enhanced communication for the Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod. The iHome iA100
employs a removable rubber insert to give additional clearance and a pivoting
dock connector to accommodate a wide variety of accessory cases that users
typically buy for their iPads, iPhones, and iPods.
- Audio Playback: The iHome iA100 supports playback of your iPod's,
iPhone's, and iPad's audio files through its integrated dock connector.
- Menu Navigation: The iHome iA100 offers complete menu navigation
of your iPod, iPhone, or iPad. It also includes basic playback functions
such as Play/Pause, Fast Forward/Rewind, and Skips (Next/Previous). You can
still control your iPod, iPhone, or iPad from its clickwheel or touchscreen.
- Information Display:
All song information will still be viewed from your iPod, iPhone,
iPad.
- Charging: The iHome iA100 will charge your docked iPod, iPhone,
or iPad.
Note: If your iPod/iPhone/iPad has no initial battery charge, then
this unit will not recognize it.

Note:
- *If you have an iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPhone 5,
iPad (4th gen), or iPad mini; use the Lighting-to-USB cable that came
with your Apple device to connect to the unit.
- Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change functionality results.
If you download a newer software version, you may need to reset the
device and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If this doesn't
work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is available.
App-Enhanced Features: App-enhanced features are supported by the
iHome iA100. The iHome iA100 supports iHome+Sleep, a free sleep-lifestyle app,
and iHome+Radio, an internet radio app. Through these two apps, running on
your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad, the iA100 can wake you up to your favorite
internet music, talk, sports, and news stations from around the world.
Built-in Bluetooth: The iHome iA100 features Bluetooth 2.1 +
EDR wireless technology. It supports the Bluetooth wireless
audio profile (A2DP) and Bluetooth hands-free profile (HFP) for your iPod touch,
iPhone, Pad, or other compatible Bluetooth enabled device.
- Audio Streaming (A2DP): The Bluetooth wireless audio
profile (A2DP) lets you stream music from your compatible Bluetooth enabled
device to the iHome iA100 for playback.
- Hands-Free (HFP): The Bluetooth hands-free profile (HFP) lets you answer, end, and redial calls
from your compatible Bluetooth enabled cellular phone on the iHome iA100.
There is a built-in microphone to speak into. The caller's voice is heard
through the unit's built-in speakers. To dial a number you will still need
to use your phone's keypad or touchscreen.
Note: You need to pair your compatible Bluetooth device
with iHome iA100 before initial use. The iHome iA100 is not compatible with all Bluetooth enabled
devices.
FM Tuner: The iHome iA100 features a built-in FM tuner with
an attached 51" FM wire antenna. You can preset up 6 of your favorite FM
stations. This unit does not offer an AM tuner.
Auxiliary Input: The iHome iA100 is equipped with a rear-panel 3.5mm
auxiliary input for connecting an external audio source such as your MP3 player
or laptop.
LCD Display: The iHome iA100 features a 3.25" (diagonal) two-line LCD.
The display provides time, date, source, and menu information.
Backlit Controls: The iHome iA100 features top-panel backlit buttons
with an adjustable dimmer so its easy to use in the dark when you first wake-up
or going to bed.
Remote Control: The iHome iA100 includes an IR remote control for
wireless operation of the system as well as music navigation from your
compatible iPod, iPhone, or iPad.
Dual Alarms: Two independent alarms let you wake to any combination of
iPod, iPhone, iPad, FM radio, or alarm tones with 7/5/2 alarm settings for full
week, work week or weekend with separate wake times and alarm sources to suit
your lifestyle.
Programmable Snooze: The iHome iA100's Programmable Snooze feature lets you sleep in a
little bit more with a snooze time adjustment between 1-29 minutes.
Sleep Functions: The iHome iA100 lets you go to sleep listening to
your iPod, iPhone, iPad, or the built-in FM radio for predetermined amount of
time. You can adjust the sleep timer from 15, 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes.
Nap Mode: Nap mode lets you set an alarm separate from Alarm 1 & 2.
The Nap mode can be set to wake you up in 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90, or 120
minutes. You can be woken up to music from your iPod, iPhone, iPad, or the
built-in FM tuner.
Gradual Wake & Sleep: The iHome iA100 gently increases the alarm and
decreases the sleep volumes for easier waking and going to bed.
Time Sync: The iHome iA100 syncs its built-in clock &
calendar to the current
time & date setting on your docked or Bluetooth connected iPod, iPhone, or iPad. The clock and calendar display can also be set manually.
Power Requirements: The iHome iA100 operates off of standard household
AC current using the supplied AC power adapter (100-240V).
Battery Backup: The iHome iA100 comes with two 'AA' backup batteries
installed to provide backup alarm operation and clock settings in the event of a
power failure. When the backup batteries have been installed and a power failure
occurs or the AC cord is accidentally disconnected, the display backlight will
not remain lit, but current time and alarm time settings will be temporarily
maintained. When the battery low indicator appears on the display, it's
time to replace the batteries.
