Dodge/Mitsubishi In-dash Receiver Kit Fits select 1991-99 models w/ 4-inch dash openings

The dash opening this kit is made for is a different shape and size than the typical aftermarket car stereo receiver. The mounting bracket covers the "gaps" and secures your new receiver into the dash.

Note: If you are installing a DIN-style receiver, you'll need to convert the 2-knob face plate to accept your radio by cutting and removing the shaft supports with metal cutters or a hacksaw.

The kit also includes:

a slot that lets you install a half-DIN equalizer in the dash, along with your receiver
a plate that covers the equalizer opening if you choose not to install an EQ

While it felt pretty sturdy, it bent as I tried cut out the slabs in the middle. I tried cutters, but the posts were so thick, it was almost impossible, Ended up using a Dremel. Which is ridiculous. They should come out alot easier.

The black din cover is nice...if it fit. It doesn't 'snap' into the spot like it should. I had to enlarge the din opening (again with a Dremel) so it would pop into place.

Another problem is theres no brackets with this intall kit to attach the radio sleeve to with hardware. The only option is opening the various tabs on the radio's sleeve to lock it into the din kit. Which over time the tabs will get weak do to weight, bumps, etc and allow the radio itself to move around.

Overall very upset with this last install kit form Crutchfield. They don't even have install instructions for my car model (Mitsu 3000GT '91-99).
