Enjoy the rich variety of music, news, sports, and talk programming that XM Radio can offer through your home audio/video system. It's possible with the XM Direct 2 Home Tuner and an XM-Ready home audio system. And you can use your XM-Ready system's remote to navigate through the tuner's menu.

Just connect the Home Tuner to your receiver's XM jack. Then position the included antenna to receive the satellite signal. The antenna is waterproof, so you can mount it outside your home if necessary.

    Note: In addition to the XM Direct 2 Home Tuner and your XM-ready home audio component, you will need a subscription to XM Satellite Radio to receive XM programming.

    XM Satellite Radio: XM offers over 170 channels of digital-quality music, news, and entertainment for a monthly fee. You'll get 69 channels of commercial-free rock, country, blues, jazz, classical, and Latin music; 41 channels of news, talk, sports, and entertainment; over 30 channels of special programming, including exclusive concert events and play-by-play broadcasts of Major League Baseball®, NASCAR®, the NHL® and the PGA®, plus ACC, PAC-10, and Big 10 football and basketball; and 21 channels of XM Instant Traffic and Weather for major metropolitan areas around the U.S.

    XM Direct 2 Home Tuner: The XM Direct 2 Home Tuner is a hide-away XM tuner which connects to your XM-ready home audio system. The XM Direct 2 Home Tuner features an attached 43" XM Direct cable which plugs into the XM Direct port of your XM-ready component. It also includes a single SMB-connector to connect the included XM antenna. The XM Direct 2 Home Tuner features a rubber base and should be placed horizontally on a flat-surface.

    Note: Make sure the location of the XM Direct 2 Home Tuner has proper ventilation to avoid over-heating.

    Indoor/Outdoor XM Antenna: The antenna is weatherproof, giving you interior and exterior mounting options and features a hinged base for flexible positioning. There are four keyhole slots on the back for mounting.

    Note: For the best reception, the antenna should be located so that it has a clear view of the southern sky.

    Remote Control Compatible: You can use the remote control included with your XM-ready home audio system to navigate through the function of the XM Direct 2 Home Tuner.

    Our new car came with Sirius xm and we love it. Found out my 5 year old Yamaha receiver was xm ready so I ordered this. Easy install/setup outstanding quality sound AND a $50 rebate.

    Like I said, love it!

    Simple to install - up and running in a couple minutes.
    Pros:
    Antenna positioning is easy - mine reads through an exterior wall fine. Small, tidy receiver and antenna.
    Cons:
    SiriusXM sound quality is not as good as FM or CD. I have 2 car subscriptions in addition to the home unit and all are the same for sound quality, so it is not specifically a problem with the home unit. The 4-star rating is simply because of this.

    This item was a snap to install on my Onkyo receiver. I'm using an outdoor antenna I previously purchased to work with a Sirius receiver and boombox. Fortunately, the antenna connectors are identical. Works great and i'm lovin' it!

    Easy to install and setup. Works great with strong recieving signal even though antenna is not facing south. I ordered a mobile antenna as a backup but haven't had the need to use it. This product is great and I would recommend anyone who has a XM Ready radio to get one of these.

    If you have a XM ready receiver this is easy as"sliced bread". Just follow the
    plug in system and then all you have to do is endure is the call in to SiriuisXM
    to activate the componet.

    This product is pretty much bulletproof as the source for XM Radio on XM-Ready
    receivers. Just plug it in as directed, and it works. One point: If you live
    in a large city, Atlanta being an example, there is most likely one or more
    short-range radio repeaters located in your city, and you don't have to run the
    antenna out. Just set it on the back of your equipment rack. Once you are out
    of the central city a little way, though, you must deploy your antenna.

    Caution: Make SURE that your product is XM-Ready and not just Sirius-Ready.
    Even though the company is now Sirius/XM, there are still two separate systems,
    and the plugs are completely different. There are NO adapters. The Denon
    4310ci has inputs for both XM and Sirius units, but the 4311ci has only a Sirius
    input. Stupid move on the part of Denon.

    Great, space saving, XM tuner adapter!

    This XM tuner adapter works only with receivers designed to utilize it. I have
    a Pioneer VSX-9040 and it just plugs in to the receiver and it has its own antenna.
    You tune the XM stations using the receiver's remote control. You can see
    the channel, the artist, and the song titles on the receiver's display.
    I was worried about signal strength, since I was setting up the system on the north
    east side of the house. I thought I would have to go with an external antenna
    mount to get an unobstructed south facing position, but I was able to point the
    antenna south inside the house and get 3 bars (the maximum!).
    Everything works great, just like a regular tuner. The sound is very clean
    (sounds better than my Sony HD FM tuner), no static, and no commercials except
    on certain channels. I also have a component XM tuner (Polk), but there is no
    difference in the sound and the component takes up space and it has another plug
    to plug in. This XM tuner adapter is also a lot cheaper!

    I was excited to get this item as FM station selection in Albuquerque is somewhat
    lacking the the music genres that I enjoy. Setup was very simple, don't even need to
    worry about a power cable. Just plug it in and go. Did not like that I had to leave my
    home theater reciever on while the satelite system searched for it. After listening for a
    while, I was dissapointed with the quality. I tried several different antenna locations and
    none improved sound quality. Sound quality for this reciever is very poor and I would not
    recommend Satelite radio to anyone. I will be canceling my service as soon as
    possible and will attempt to return or resell this device.
