Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular - see "Accessories."

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

It's a speaker wiring harness, there really isn't anything that can go wrong, and nothing did. Installed these in my 2002 Honda CR-V. If you know how to unplug any cord and plug one in, you can handle this.

Good harness for Pioneer speakers, be careful about harness adapter

Crutchfield does a nice job including - for free - wiring harness adapter and speaker mount kits for speakers ordered. The instructions do warn the installer to be careful to test power window and clearance to speaker and wiring harness adapter, but I felt it could have been a bit more clear. After managing to reconnect my door panel with electrical instrumentation to power windows up/down, I found the first few speakers giving a "clunk" as the wiring harness adapter caught the window on down path and one harness broke off from speaker. Fortunately, the metal tab on speaker did not break. I found using plastic zip ties to keep harness close to door frame was the trick, and just hoped that the instructions would have stated that specifically as a recommendation. Thus, the 4 star rating. Otherwise, good product.

Great clip'ons. Worked like a charm for the front doors. Some one cut the connectors off the rear ones and spliced the wires together for the speaker set that was there... bet they didn't buy it from Crutchfield. Ended up using the wires that came with the speakers for the rear set.
