Features
iPod/iPhone USB Cable: The KCU-461iV allows you to connect your Apple
iPod/iPhone to select 2012-up Alpine multimedia &
navigation head units. The KCU-461iV
consists of 11" iPod A/V cable (with an Apple dock connector on one end and a
USB type-A/3.5mm connector on other end), and a 5' A/V minijack extension cable
(with a right-angle male 3.5mm connector on one end and a female 3.5mm connector
on other end). The 5' A/V minijack extension cable plugs in between your Alpine
head unit's rear-panel Aux A/V input and the included iPod A/V cable. The iPod
A/V cable also connects to your Alpine head unit's rear-panel USB (type-A) port
and USB extension cable, as well as the dock connector of your iPod/iPhone.
Alpine Head Unit Compatibility: The KCU-461iV is compatible
with select 2012-up Alpine head units that support USB iPod A/V
connection. Once the adapter is connected, the iPod appears on the head unit's
display as a selectable source. The following Alpine multimedia & navigation
head units are compatible (as of 8/9/2012).
- Navigation Head Units: INE-S920HD, INE-Z928HD
- Multimedia Head Units: IVE-W530, IVE-W535HD
Audio/Video Playback: The
KCU-461iV supports both audio/video playback from a compatible iPod/iPhone to
your compatible Alpine multimedia or navigation head unit.
You can enjoy audio playback of your stored music, podcasts, and music apps on
your iPod or iPhone through your compatible Alpine multimedia or navigation head
unit. You can also enjoy video playback of movies, TV shows, video podcasts, and
music videos stored on your iPod/iPhone; as well as video based apps streamed to
your iPod or iPhone.
iPod/iPhone Control: The Alpine KCU-461iV lets you navigate your
iPod/iPhone's music library by Playlist, Artist, Album, Song, Genre, Composer,
Podcast, or Audiobook; and your video library by Video Playlist, Movie, Music
Video, TV Show, Video Podcast, or Rented Movie - from your compatible Alpine
multimedia or navigation head unit. You can then search each category
alphabetically (A-Z). It also supports three Shuffle playback functions
(All/Album/Category) and Repeat playback function (song).
iPod Display: The Alpine KCU-461iV will display your
iPod/iPhone's stored music file information on your compatible Alpine multimedia
or navigation head unit's touchscreen display. The head unit will display Track
number, Elapsed playing time, Artist name, Song/Album title, as well as Album
Art. The unit will not display music app information .
iPod Charging: While connected and the ignition switch is
set to ACC or ON, the KCU-461iV will power and charge your iPod/iPhone
through your compatible Alpine head unit's USB (type-A) port . If your
iPod/iPhone has no initial battery charge, then the unit will not recognize it.
Does not support charging of the Apple iPad.
