center channel speaker that uses sophisticated driver technology and
Mirage's exclusive Omnipolar technology to make the small bookshelf speaker
ideal for virtually any home theater application. The speaker comes in a Gloss Black finish.

Driver Technology
Omnipolar Technology: This
technology provides a 360° soundfield to immerse you in sound wherever you are
in the room. Omnipolar technology provides a perfect balance
of direct and reflected sound for accurate, realistic listening.
Omniguide Design: The design consists of a conically shaped cylinder
that is responsible for reflecting sound in a perfect 360° pattern. This
unique design guarantees the same tonal balance and dispersion characteristics
no matter how and where you mount the speakers. For best results, the following
mounting guidelines should be followed:
- When mounted above 6 feet, the speaker should be inverted
with grille facing downwards.
- When mounted below 6 feet, the speaker should be mounted
normally with the grill facing up.
Drivers: The drivers used in
the OS³-CC are as follows:
- Woofers:
The speaker features two 4.5"
polypropylene titanium deposit hybrid woofers with ribbed elliptical rubber
surrounds mounted at the top of the sealed cabinet. The woofers are equipped
with neodymium motors and phase plugs.
- Midrange: A 3" polypropylene titanium deposit hybrid
midrange driver is centered between the woofers on top of the cabinet. Like
the woofers, the midrange has a ribbed elliptical rubber surround.
- Tweeter: Floating above
the midrange is a precisely angled cast aluminum Omniguide module that houses
the speaker's proprietary 1" PTH (pure titanium hybrid) tweeter.
Voice Matching:
The OS³-CC can
be
matched up with Mirage's OS³-FS tower speakers or OS³-SAT satellite speakers, and a
Mirage powered subwoofer to create a home theater speaker
system.
Enclosure Design
Enclosure: The cabinet is made of very solid inert medium density fiberboard (MDF) which creates a solid,
flex-free cabinet which eliminates music altering distortion. The enclosure is
curved and completely sealed.
Connections
Speaker Terminals: The OS³-CC
uses high quality gold-plated binding posts located on the back of the speaker. The terminals will accept a wide range of
connector type including spade lugs, banana plugs or pin-type connectors.
Mounting Options
Mounting: The speaker
can be wall mounted using the supplied
wall bracket. The screws needed to attach the bracket to the wall are not
provided. A cardboard template for marking the wall for bracket placement and
wire cutout is included. The speaker also has a wedge on the bottom of the
speaker so it can be placed on a stand or
a shelf. The footprint of the speaker measures 17-13/16" wide x 4-5/8" deep.
Video Shielded: The speaker is magnetically shielded so you can place
it on or next to your
television without distortion.
