    Features

Overview: The Canon RS-60E3 Wired Remote Switch prevents camera shake when taking photographs using a tripod, such as when taking close-ups or long-exposure photographs (bulb photographs).

Compatibility: The Canon RS-60E3 Wired Remote Switch is compatible with select Canon EOS cameras which are equipped with a sub mini-jack (2.5mm) wired remote input. The RS-60E3 features a 25" cord terminated by a right-angle male 2.5mm connector which plugs into your camera's remote control terminal.

Operation: The Wired Remote Switch features a single release button that has two stages. Pressing the button to the first stage initiates focusing, and by pressing to the second stage, the shutter of your connected camera is released. The release button can be locked for long-exposure photographs and continuous photography.

Storage: The RS-60E3's attached cable can be wound around the main unit when storing the Wired Remote Switch.

    DSLR Newbie

Written By Margaret, CT on Saturday, June 23, 2012
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I love this remote switch. It meets all my needs; no complaints about the length of the cord. I flip my Canon live view screen to face forward, set the timer to a 10 second delay, step back to check the framing of my picture and press the button. I just took a self portrait. Also great when using a tripod for macro shots.
    Cons:
The cord does not stay pinched in the notch on the remote so when it lets loose it sometimes gets tangled in the camera strap or tripod wands.

    Wired remote

Written By HarrisonB, Hastings, MN on Friday, August 27, 2010
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice small wired remote with convenient partial press feature to focus and the lock
feature for time exposures. Only complaint is that an extension cord should be available
for taking self portrates etc. Cord is limited length. And female jack and male plug are
micro sized so it is hard to find a compatable generic extension. The RC6 wireless
remote is more convenient for longer distance control for camers which work with that
device such as my Rebel T2i.

    Canon Remote

Written By John, Austin, Texas on Friday, May 08, 2009
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

This remote is very nice quality, it performs flawlessly.
Notice that the cord is only 25" long, older photographers will recognize
this as a pretty normal length cord. For me it's a little short so I decided to
    lengthen it by several feet.
The connector is a 2.5mm sub-mini jack, NOT a 3.5mm mini jack as it says
on this website. This is the first ever problem I've had with Crutchfield in
over 10 years of buying here. I cannot praise the Crutchfield tech reps too
highly. They understood exactly what I was talking about and fixed my
    problem in seconds.
Summary; great product but if you intend to use an extension with this
remote, you must purchase a 2.5mm cable.
