Molded Enclosure: The molded, high-density polyethylene
resin enclosure resists flexing and dampens resonance.
MTX Audio Subwoofer: The ThunderForm houses a single
proprietary 0.35 ohm woofer. The woofer features a long excursion voice coil and
is designed to take full advantage of the efficiency of the enclosure's Class D
amplifier giving you powerful, low frequency bass extension
Class D Amplifier: The enclosure contains a built-in 200-watt
Class D (digital) amplifier that allows RCA or speaker-level input. The amplifier
is highly efficient and designed specifically for use with the subwoofer in the
enclosure.
Protection Circuits: The amplifier features over voltage,
over current and voice coil short protection to protect the amplifier and
woofer.
Built-In Crossover: The crossover frequency can be varied
from 50Hz to 150Hz for a seamless transition between the output of this unit
and that of the other speakers in the vehicle.
Remote Bass Control: The ThunderForm comes supplied with a
wired remote bass control that allows you to remotely adjust the bass from the
driver's seat. This is a wired control which needs the cable to be run from the
drivers seat to the location of the ThunderForm so it can be plugged in to the
ThunderForm.
Smart-Engage Feature: When the speaker level inputs are
used, the system will automatically turn on and off with the radio. This
time-saving feature eliminates the need to remove the head unit when installing
the ThunderForm.
Note: The auto turn-on feature does not operate
when the preamp level inputs are used, unless the remote turn-on lead is connected.
Warranty
5 Year Warranty Terms: This product carries a 5-Year
Prorated Warranty with the following terms:
- Years 1-2: Products found to be defective in materials
or workmanship during the first two years will be, at Mitek's option,
repaired or replaced by Mitek at no charge. The warranty period does not
renew, but continues on from the original date of purchase.
- Years 3-5: The purchase price of an item which becomes
defective after the first two years and prior to the end of the warranty
period will be prorated and credited toward the purchase of a new MTX
product. The amount of proration is determined by dividing the original
purchase price by the number of months in the warranty period (60), then
multiplying the result by the number of months remaining in the warranty
period.
