This vehicle-specific wiring harness makes connections between your new car stereo and your car's electrical system.

First, attach the color-coded wires on your Crutchfield harness to the wires from your new stereo. If you don't know how to use a soldering iron, we recommend that you purchase some wire connectors that you'll use to attach the Crutchfield harness to your factory harness.

Now, once this harness is connected to your new stereo, you'll be able to plug right into your car's factory radio connector. This harness makes installing your new stereo easier, and allows you to put the factory radio back when you sell your vehicle or return it at the end of the lease. A detailed instruction sheet comes with the harness. Warranty: 60 days.

Please read this important note: This harness may not contain provisions for every wire needed to complete your installation, and it will not accommodate special navigation, video, or factory steering wheel control connections. You will need a special adapter if you want your factory steering wheel audio controls to work with your new stereo.

    Crutchfield Wiring Harness: Crutchfield wiring harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory radio plug when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket head unit. Simply solder or crimp the Crutchfield wiring harness to your aftermarket head unit's harness (solder & crimps not included), plug the aftermarket head unit's plug into the rear chassis of the aftermarket head unit, and plug the Crutchfield wiring harness into your vehicle's factory radio plug.

    Note: Installation tools, hardware, & accessories are not included & sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations & availability.

    Wiring Notes: If the Crutchfield wiring harness is not equipped with a ground wire, you will need to ground the aftermarket head unit's ground wire to the metal chassis of your vehicle. Some vehicle's may require you to bypass the vehicle's factory amplifier (in another location from factory radio) or hardwire certain connections. If your vehicle is equipped with factory steering wheel controls, an additional adapter is required & sold separately.

    Great Item. All wires are color coded to the radio wires to butt splice the Radio Wires to the adapter is self explanatory and fits perfectly with the car harness.

    I got this wiring harness along with the dash kit for free when I purchased a new head unit for my car. I was so glad that I did! I downloaded some wiring diagrams from Hyundai forums but wound up not needing them because of this little baby! the day my box from Crutchfield arrived I was able to pull the diagram from this harness and match it up with the head unit. took me all of about 10 min to get the prep work done before I even opened the dash. thanks to the instructions as well (From Crutchfield again for free!) opening up the dash was a snap and because of this harness, installing the head unit was literally plug and play! now if I ever sell the car, i can put the stock stereo back in and no one will know the difference!
    Pros:
    Plug and play! cut my installation time in half!
    Cons:
    I don't consider it a con, but the harness doesn't allow you to utilize the aux jack in front of the gear shifter, or the remote controls on the steering wheel. In my case, my model of Hyundai didn't have the steering wheel controls, and the head unit I installed has an aux jack built into it! TRUST ME I do not miss the stock stereo in the LEAST!!!

    Works great. Mates perfectly to dash connector. It would be better if they
    populated the pins used for the steering wheel buttons. That would make it
    easier to use an aftermarket adaptor.

    Bought this for a 2008 Hyundai Accent. I guess this is the right one for most 08's. But if
    you have an 08 with the XM radio/CD, you need to search under the 2009 model. Best
    advice is to pull the radio out before ordering. Crutchfield has done a good job with the
    photos and arent using a generic pic for ALL wiring. Makes life easy, look at yours and
    refer to the pics to ensure you get the right one. Tech support is A+, called after normal
    buisness hours and they were about to get the new one shipped the following morning.

    Perfect fit and matched up exactly with my JVC KD-AHD69. I chose to solder and shrink
    wrap my wires, so the longer strip wasn't a problem.

    As most adapters, it fits right in place. Plenty of wire length to work with the stereo a little further back from the dash. A little over stripped, but that's easily clipped off. Combined with the stereo harness, the only pain were the factory wires being short.
    Clear installation to adapt to the stereo, with the harness laid out on the sheet. Made soldering a breeze. Especially, where I installed an amp & had to run speaker wires.
    Having this come with the unit, is great. Thank you for all of the freebies you do send.
