Overview: The Thule 970XT Helium Bike Rack is designed to
carry 2 bikes and attaches to either a 2" or 1-1/4" receiver hitch.
Light Weight Construction: The Thule 970XT Helium bike rack is 40%
lighter than conventional hitch racks due to the use of high strength 6061-T6
aluminum. This high grade light alloy material provides the strength at nearly
half the weight making installation and removal easier.
No Tool Installation: The Thule 970XT also features a simple no tools
tightening knob to attach the rack to your vehicle's hitch, which further
simplifies installation and removal.
Hitch Switch: Thule's Hitch Switch quick release lever to tilt the
rack away from the rear hatch for easy access. Another quick release lever makes
it simple to raise and lower the bike carrying arms for transport and storage.
No more fumbling around with antiquated cotter pins
No Sway Cage: Your
Bikes' frames rest in rubberized T3 cradles and will not swing due to the No
Sway Cage design. The T3 cradles easily adjust along the support arms to
position bikes as you like until you want to secure them down.
Theft Prevention: Thule designed the rack's quick release hitch knob
with a locking feature and it is key matched to the integrated locking cable for
the bikes to prevent theft.
