I have a pair of Audio Technica noise canceling so I could easily perform a side-by-side comparison and noticed the bass right away. I would recommend on comfort and build quality alone. I used these on a 6 hour flight and never felt discomfort around my ears or head. Some have mentioned that noise canceling didn't meet expectations, but no complaints here. Worked like a charm on the plane drowning out the noisy kids behind me.
