Driver Technology
A-Series floor-standing: The Boston Acoustics A-Series
floor-standing loudspeaker (A 360) incorporates high-quality components that
produce the legendary Boston Sound. The A-Series floor-standing loudspeaker is
ideally suited for use in a high-quality multichannel home
theater or stereo music system.
3-Way Speaker System: The Boston Acoustics A-Series
floor-standing loudspeaker features a three-way design that employs dual 6.5"
woofers and a 3.5" midrange driver, paired with a single 1.0" soft-dome tweeter.
1" Kortec Soft-Dome Tweeter: The Boston Acoustic A 360 features
Boston's 1" Kortec soft-dome tweeter for crystalline high frequencies.
3.5" Midrange Driver: The Boston Acoustics floor-standing loudspeaker
utilizes a 3.5" ceramic/glass fiber polymer midrange driver for added detail and
vocal clarity.
Dual 6.5" DCD Woofers: The Boston Acoustics A 360
floor-standing loudspeaker is fitted with dual 6.5" ceramic/glass fiber polymer woofers with
Deep Channel Design (DCD) that allow for higher speed, reduced distortion, and
improved sensitivity. As a result the A 360 delivers more bass response from
less amplifier power.
Crossover Network: The crossover components in the A 360
incorporate low-loss film capacitors and low-distortion laminated silicon steel
cores for the inductors in all critical areas. The tweeter is crossed over at
2,700Hz and the midrange is crossed over at 800Hz. Frequencies lower than 800Hz
are fed to the two woofers.
Enclosure Design
Bass Reflex Enclosure: The Boston Acoustics A-Series
floor-standing loudspeaker (A 360) features a bass reflex enclosure with a
rear-firing acoustically tuned port for improved low frequency response and
efficiency.
Scratch Resistant, Resonance Free Cabinet: The Boston
Acoustics A 360 floor-standing loudspeaker features a high-gloss,
scratch-resistant cabinet with a textured top and magnetic grille for a modern
styling that will match most any decor. Vertical and horizontal internal
bracings reduce cabinet resonances for enhanced audio quality.
Connections
Binding Posts: Gold-plated binding posts provide hook-up flexibility
and the purest signal transfer. The binding posts will accept bare wire (up to
12-gauge), pin connectors, spade connectors, and banana plugs (single only).
Note: The binding posts are spaced to far apart to
accommodate dual banana plugs.
Color-Coded: The speaker's binding posts are color-coded
(red/black) for easy identification between positive and negative.
Mounting Options
Integrated Rubber Feet: The Boston Acoustics A 360 floor-standing
loudspeaker features four integrated rubber feet to place the speaker safely and
securely on your hardwood floors or tile.
Spiked Feet: The A 360 floor-standing loudspeaker
includes four spiked feet which can be threaded into the bottom of the speaker
for safe and secure placement on carpeted flooring. The spiked feet will add
0.625" to the height of the speaker.
Note: The front rubber feet will need to be removed and replaced
by the longer spiked feet. The shorter spiked feet simply thread into the
speakers rear stabilizer feet.
