Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular - see "Accessories."

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

I did not know that these adapters even existed. No splicing needed. I used them on a 1998 Dodge Neon speaker upgrade, and they worked perfectly.

I didn't know these existed. I installed some Polk speakers in my wife's 07 jeep and spliced the wires for the install,no big deal. My son bought the same speakers for his 2000 Jeep and we were looking around on the Crutchfield site and came across these and the custom brackets for the 4x6 dash speakers. It was a no brainer and the fastest install I've ever done.

Got as part of an overall stereo system replacement. Earlier, I had replaced the front speakers and had to solder the old adapters onto the new speakers. It wasn't overly difficult, just odd angles and tricky. With these things, it's just slide on the lugs to the speaker terminals, and click into place. Super easy !!!

Perfect! Fit with no issues. Might have to remove the speaker and zip tie the excess wire in place as I think they maybe vibrating against the back of the speaker (mounted in the overhead rollbar in a Wrangler).

I work in the car alarm & stereo business & put these in many cars & trucks for people who want the best, but at a cheap cost, when it was time to upgrade my own system, I called my distrib. & asked for a discount, their price for ME was higher than Crutchfield & it would have cost me additional money for the faceplates, converstion parts, etc ????? I always delt with Crutchfield on my other cars & went on line - WOW I saved over $100.00 between the radio, speakers,and ALL the parts i needed to install - bottom line, I AM IN LOVE WITH MY SYSTEM !!!!!!! & saved money, I now know why my customers come back & send friends for the same system !!!!!!

Always Check Polarity

Always check polarity, don't assume that connectors come wired up correctly for your application as they likely fit many different vehicles and configurations. Luckily I had access to a wiring diagram for my 1999 Chrysler LHS with the factory Infinity II system. After observing that the polarity was opposite of how the connector adapter was wired, it was easy enough to switch the terminals in the connector. There is a white/grey plug that pops out. Once removed, you can look inside the body of the connector and see little plastic arms that lock the terminals into the connector. Gently release them with a small screw driver, then the terminals with wires attached slide out the back. Pop them back in opposite of how they came out until you here a click, reinsert the plug, and you are good to go.
Pros:
Makes for a clean install without splicing wires.
Cons:
Polarity may need to be reversed for your application.

This is why I like to buy from Crutchfield! They give you everything you need to install speakers without nickle and diming you to death. Swapping out the door speakers in my Sebring took less than 5 minutes. Not possible if I didn't have all the parts that Crutchfield gives for free!
