Features
Overview: This package is offered as an accessory for Escort
Live!-compatible radar detectors. It is designed to mount your Android
smartphone on your
vehicle's dashboard, console, or windshield so you can easily see the Escort
Live! displays on the screen. It can also be used to mount practically any
smartphone or digital media player. The package consists of the Arkon Mega Grip
Smartphone Mount for Windshield or Dashboard, a beanbag dashboard mount, and a
3' Micro USB to USB Android charging cable.
Windshield/Dash Mount: The Arkon Mega Grip Smartphone Mount is a
versatile device holder that attaches to your vehicle's windshield, dashboard,
or console with the Travelmount suction cup. The mount has adjustable padded sides
that grip your device, with or without a case. The lower support legs are
adjustable so you can keep the cable connection port free. A self-adhesive disk
is included if you choose to mount the holder on the dashboard or console. A 3'
charging
cable (Micro USB to Type A USB) is included for use with Android smartphones.
Beanbag Dash Mount: Also included in the package is a
weighted circular beanbag mount for placing the Smartphone Mount on your
dashboard. By placing the Smartphone Mount on the dash, you avoid potential
blind spots that typically occur with a windshield mount. The 6-1/2" diameter
mount weighs nearly 2 pounds and has a high-friction bottom surface to hold the
mount securely on your dashboard. The top surface contains a 3-1/4" diameter
hard plastic disc for the Travelmount suction cup, surrounded by 5 weighted
pads.
Usage: The Smartphone Mount has spring-loaded ratcheting side grips that can
accommodate virtually any smartphone from 1.75" to 3.25" wide. After placing
your device in the mount, you can squeeze the side grips together until they are
snug against the phone. Once the phone is secured in the mount, you can rotate the mount 360°
for portrait or landscape orientation and tilt the screen to any angle for best
visibility. A quick-release button springs opens the side grips for quick
removal. Once you have placed the device in the holder, you can mount it on the
windshield, dashboard, or console in an easy-to-reach place.
