Features
Overview: The Smarthome SecureLinc Wireless Home Security System is a
full-featured, customizable security alarm system that connects in a fraction of
the time of hardwired systems. It supports 28 wireless zones, and two hardwired
zones, and has the ability to record up to 100 events in its internal log. The
kit includes two 4-button wireless remote transmitters, 3 wireless magnetic
window/door contacts, and 2 wireless motion detectors that can't be triggered by
your pets.
Optional Alarm Monitoring: Your SecureLinc home security system can be
monitored 24/7 by a professional central station that can dispatch the police,
fire department, or rescue squad when there's an emergency at your home. Live
alarm monitoring requires a low monthly fee without multi-year contracts or
credit reports.
Control Panel
Programming: The control panel has large, easy-to-use backlit buttons
and an LCD screen for programming the system. You can also mount an optional
Wireless 2-Way Keypad (item # 72673962) by any entry to your home, where it will
communicate your commands and act as a remote panel controller.
Built-In Siren: When it detects an alarm signal from one of the
wireless sensors, the alarm system blasts an 85dB siren that not only protects
your family, but also sends would-be thieves fleeing. An external siren (such as
item # 72673931) can also be installed on the system, if desired.
Phone Dialer: You can program the control panel to dial out any
private phone number (such as a friend or neighbor, your office, or your
wireless phone), and play a pre-recorded message in your own voice, if connected
to your standard telephone or cellular network (GSM Modem required). No
dedicated phone line is needed. The system can be programmed to call you for
non-alarm events, such as alerting you that your child arrived home safely and
successfully disarmed the alarm.
PowerLink Web Interface: You can control your SecureLinc wireless
security system remotely over a secure Internet connection with the optional
PowerLink Web Interface Controller (item 73900PL, not sold by Crutchfield). Up
to 4 wired or wireless cameras can be connected to the controller for a
whole-house surveillance system.
Lighting/Appliance Control: The SecureLinc Wireless Security System
can operate up to 15 X10-controlled lights or appliances, including 2-way
appliances and those with dim/bright features. You can schedule lights to turn
on or off to make your home look occupied while you're away, or turn on lights
just before your arrival at night. Note: X10 interface and cable required
for lighting controls.
Wireless Range: The control panel can communicate with the wireless
security sensors up to 300 feet away.
Remote Transmitter
Overview: Each wireless transmitter, made by Visonic, can be
used to arm and disarm the alarm system, as well as operate appliances,
open/close your garage door, and control lights. It is powered by a replaceable
12V / 27A alkaline battery.
CodeSecure: When you press any of the four recessed buttons, the
remote transmits a CodeSecure digital sequence along with a 4-bit function code
associated with the button that was pressed. A different digital sequence is
transmitted each time, eliminating the threat of code grabbing.

Motion Detector
Overview: The Next K9-85 MCW wireless digital PIR (Passive
InfraRed) motion detector, made by Visonic, will protect your house, while
allowing your pets to move freely anywhere in the house. It is powered by a replaceable, long-life 3V Lithium battery.
The transmitter sends a "low battery" message to the receiver to alert you to
change the battery.
Optics: The K9-85 features a 3D cylindrical lens with uniform detection throughout its
40' operating range. It has 90° multiple-curtain coverage with a "wall" creep
zone.
Pet Tolerant: The K9-85's Target Specific Imaging (TSI)
technology is used for distinction between human beings and pets weighing up to
85 pounds.
True Motion Recognition: The advanced True Motion
Recognition algorithm allows distinguishing between the true motion of an
intruder and any other disturbances which may cause false alarms. A True Motion
Event Verification switch lets you set the unit for one or two motion events
before triggering an activation. After detection, the detector disarms itself to
save battery power, then rearms in 2 minutes if there is no subsequent
detection.
PowerCode: When activated, the unit will initiate an individual 24-bit PowerCode ID message, which
identifies it to the target receiver. Each ID code is
randomly selected from 16-million possible combinations, and is therefore unique
and virtually impossible to accidentally reproduce. In addition, a smart,
anti-collision algorithm prevents signal jamming by simultaneous transmission
from multiple devices. Periodic transmission of supervision signals is used to
confirm system connectivity at all times.
Tamper Switch: The unit has a tamper switch, which is activated when
the cover is removed. A tamper report is sent every 3 minutes until the tamper
switch is restored.
Supervision Message: A periodic supervision message is transmitted
automatically. The target receiver is thus informed, at regular intervals, of
the unit's active participation in the system.
Visual Indicators: The unit has an LED that lights for about
3 seconds upon transmission of alarm and tamper messages, and upon motion
detection in the walk test mode. The LED flashes during the power-up
stabilization period, or after restoring the tamper switch. It does not light
during the transmission of supervision messages.
Mounting: The K9-85 should be mounted on a flat surface or
an inside corner at a height of up to 7 feet.

Window/Door Contacts
Overview: Each wireless door/window transmitter, made by Visonic, can be
used to protect doors and windows using a built-in magnetic contact that
operates in conjunction with a magnet to detect the opening and closure of a
door or window. It is powered by a replaceable, long-life 3V Lithium battery.
The transmitter sends a "low battery" message to the receiver to alert you to
change the battery.
Auxiliary Input: The transmitter has an auxiliary hard-wired
input, programmable as either NC (normally closed) or EOL (end of line), for use
with additional sensors, such as pushbuttons, detectors, door contacts, etc. An
on-board DIP switch allows you to disable the magnetic-operated reed switch if
only the auxiliary input is needed.
