Looking for an easy way to mount a portable electronic device, like a plug-and-play satellite radio or an iPod®, in your vehicle? This Pro.Fit vehicle-specific mount (VSM) is the solution for you. It installs neatly in a convenient spot in your car and puts your device within easy reach, without altering the interior of your vehicle — good news if you lease your car. You can expect a great-looking, professional fit every time.

The car cradle that comes with your plug-and-play satellite radio attaches directly to the VSM, so you can pop the radio in and out easily. To mount your iPod, you'll need a separate iPod bracket to attach it to the VSM.

This Pro.Fit FO-59-00 VSM is engineered to fit in the 2000-up Ford Focus. Each Pro.Fit VSM comes with comprehensive installation instructions. Mounting Location: This Pro.Fit VSM is designed to mount to the right of the factory radio.

Compatibility: This VSM fits selected 2000-03 Ford Focus vehicles. Please confirm compatibility with your specific vehicle with the Crutchfield Vehicle Selector.

Mounting Surface: When installed, this VSM provides a mounting surface of 2-3/16" (W) x 2-7/16" (H).

Tools Needed: Set of Ford DIN radio removal tools (item # 120865618), #2 Phillips screwdriver, 90-degree hook tool, 7mm socket and driver, 5/64" drill bit and drill.

Installation Difficulty: Pro.Fit International has rated the Difficulty of Installation as 2 on a scale of 1-5 (1-simple, 5-advanced).

I was a little nervous about drilling holes in my dashboard but the whole installation process was super easy and after complete you can't see the holes or screws at all. I really like it a lot!

I installed this in about 20 minutes (taking my time) and have had no problems. I mated this to the Pro.Fit miGrip unit in order to hold my Phillips GoGear mp3 player, and everything fits perfectly. Well worth my money.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Warning to future buyers of this product. I just finished trying to adapt this mount to the back of my sirius sportster, first problem is the antenna plug gets in the way of the sportster cradle and the plate mount it will not let the two plates go flush together, this goes for the cradle lock switch as well. Third the power connection plug gets in the way. All three problems relate to the manufacturer not making cut outs so that the plugs can go right through the plate to the cradle. Not much research went into making this mount, spend your $35 on something else. It is make very well and adapts to the car well, that is the only reason why I gave it two stars.
