The smart-looking Sanus DFAV230 cabinet features a clean, modern design to complement your home audio/video gear. Tinted tempered-glass side panels and doors discreetly hide your system while allowing remote control signals to pass through. The tempered glass cabinet top can support an HDTV with a screen size of up to 37" and weighing up to 110 lbs. And the furniture is compatible with Sanus' ELM701 anti-tip strap, which can give your TV additional stability.

Spacious storage, easy access

The cabinet can store at least three full-sized components, such as a home theater receiver, cable box, and Blu-ray player. Openings in the removable back panel let you conveniently thread wires between shelves, keeping them organized and out of sight. And ventilation slots in the top and bottom of the cabinet allow air to circulate even with the doors closed to keep your components cool.

Overview: The Sanus Foundations Designer Series DFAV230 is a four-shelf AV component stand featuring an innovative construction of hardwood and strong tempered-glass. This unique design provides an enclosed look, while the smoked tempered-glass doors will not block infrared remote controls. The DFAV230 easily accommodates large AV gear and TVs up to 37". The back-panel can be removed for additional depth or to allow easy cabling and maintenance. A unique convection cooling system keeps AV gear cool by allowing heated air to escape through the top of the stand while cool air is drawn in through the bottom. Generous cable management channels ensure wires and cables are routed and concealed behind the stand.

TV Shelf: The Sanus Foundations Designer Series DFAV230's TV shelf can support flat-panel televisions up to 37" and 110 lbs. The TV shelf measures 31.25" (w) x 22.0" (d) and sits your television 30.75" from the floor.

3 Component Shelves: The Designer Series DFAV230 features 3 interior component shelves behind a tempered glass door for your A/V gear. Each shelf measures 26.5" (w) x 17.75" (d) and can support up to 60 lbs. The upper and bottom shelves have a compartment height of 8.5", while the middle shelf has a compartment height of 7.25".

Note: A removable back-panel offers easy maintenance and additional depth.

Tempered-Glass Doors: The smoked tempered-glass doors give your AV gear an enclosed look without interfering with IR remote control signal.

Convection Cooling System: The Sanus Foundations Designer Series DFAV230 incorporate a unique convection cooling system that allows heated air to escape through the top as cooler air is drawn in through the bottom.

As noted in previous reviews, the shipping box arrived looking well-worn. To my surprise, everything inside was in excellent condition. I assembled the unit by myself with no trouble. The only problem I encountered was one door hinge support that had been preinstalled slightly canted so the glass doors rub at the top. This should be an easy fix when I get the time to do it. Overall, a good audio stand well-worth the price.

Good instructions, attractive unit, easy assembly.

The table, itself, is nice looking. I cannot give it Five Stars, because, NOT Crutchfield's Fault, because they didn't box. All the shelves were scratched. And, the Door Hinges are a bit faulty; it took me some time to get the doors to stay on but thanks to Crutchfield's Customer Service, they contacted the Manufacturer and QUICKLY had the top shelf replaced; which was my biggest concern, since, this is what can be seen. I would have otherwise, sent it back. Completed, it is a beautiful table that does match with our Tower Speakers. Thanks, Crutchfield, for having an Awesome Customer Service. This is why I keep coming back.

Pros:

It look very expensive and elegant. The wood is real.

Cons:

The inside shelves are a bit awkward to put inside. Since you have to put the table together, totally, first.

Elegant and very attractive cabinet . wood is a little darker than in the photos .Solid construction, high quality materials . weighs about 95 pounds. Suits all decors. Highly recommend .Crutchfield price was unbeatable.

This is an exceptional cabinet made with high quality components and parts. Once assembled which was not that difficult it is beautiful. The smoked glass and quality wood stand out as a good looking piece of high end furniture. It is the perfect size for all the components with room to spare - cable box, speaker system box, Playstation components and remotes.

Pros:

Quality parts, reasonably easy assembly, good looking, fits components, blends in with current furniture.

Cons:

It arrived without the proper hinges for the front doors requiring me to call the company and wait another week for them to arrive separately to finish assembly. However they were sent out to me immediately.

Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I am always skeptical of "assembly required" but not to worry with this product. This is not like the particle board/MDF products sold by other manufactures, this is a solid quality unit when it is assembled. It holds all my components and provides neat wire management with the removable back panel. Only wires showing are those to my TV and soundbar.

Pros:

Easy assembly with quality material and design. IR singnals are no problem with the glass.

Cons:

None.

The Sanus DFAV230 A/V cabinet, both packaging and assembled final product, exceeded my expectations for this type of DIY cabinetry. I would definately by from Sanus again.

Pros:

High end looks and performance. Passive ventilation works very well. Fit and finish are excellent. Very good weight.

Cons:

They don't sell a similar in style but slightly narrower unit that would accommodate a turntable on top of that beautiful glass, and a storage shelf for vinyl and a drawer for odds and ends.
