These brackets allow you to install select 5-1/4" or 6-1/2" speakers into the speaker openings located in your vehicle.

Important Note: Some 6-1/2" speakers use a larger frame and require a larger cutout. We call these 6-3/4" speakers, and they won't fit in this bracket. This bracket will only work with speakers that require a cutout diameter of 5-1/8" or less.

These little guys made the install so freaking easy it's amazing how we used to fight to install speakers into door panels before. It took me 30 seconds to get the speakers installed once i took off the panel and the old crappy speaker.

Crutchfield indicates that these brackets can be used for the rear hatch speakers on the Chevrolet Venture vans. This is not correct; they DO NOT fit the Venture, and most likely will not fit the Montana, Silhouette, Uplander, Relay, or Terrazza vans, either. I was extremely disappointed to discover this. You must use adapters when changing the rear speakers in the Venture hatch, mounting the speaker directly to the sheet metal creates horrible sound.

Used these to install Polk Audio DXi 650s in the frond door of a 2002 Yukon. Speakers screw into these just fine, then these snapped into the door metal. Worked great. On the driver's side, I had to break off a tab that was in the way of snapping in the adapter all the way. No big deal, as that tab was not needed in this installation.

speakers fit the bracket very well. bracket did not snap securely to door. seemed to move around even after snapping into place. it snapped in but still moves around. i am hearing a new rattle that could be it. i will put some foam around the mounting bracket if i do it again

these were for the front doors. the speakers that were sold for the front doors didn't fit. had to use the speakers that were sold for the rear doors in the front.
Pros:
fit once the supposed rear door speakers were installed in them.

Fit perfect. Appears it is made for 2 different style openings. I had to break off 1 tab to get it to mount flush. Installed in 2001 Chevy Suburban.

Free For A Reason

Spring clips of adapter fit loosely into 2003 GM Sierra door holes, and thin plastic adapter bent easily under pressure against Polk speaker allowing speaker to move/vibrate. I tried to firm it up by drilling holes in door where the bracket had extra tabs, but not enough tabs were available. If you can buy speakers that have tabs of their own, do it and simply drill your own holes in the door for a solid speaker mount.

These are the most amazing little things to ever be included with a set of speakers! I wish these could be included with ALL speakers. They work the same as the ones on the stock speakers, and just snap in place. No messing around with the doors, these go right where the stock ones go.
Pros:
Great idea, and easy to use.
Cons:
I used the included rubber spacer in between the speaker and the adapter, and had to take the rubber spacer from the old speakers to use between the spacer and the door. I would like to see two sets of rubber spacers included, but maybe that's just me in my overkill for buzz prevention. Still love it, though.
