It's an adapter from Crutchfield. What did you expect? It works perfect in my '92 Volvo 245.

While the trim plate fit my dash perfectly, the depth available wasn't what Crutchfield claimed. I used this adapter to install a Sony CDX-GT430IP unit in my 1982 Volvo 244DL. I will have to modify the underside of the dash with a die grinder to allow things to fit despite Crutchfield's statement that all would fit ok. The trim piece is a good match and fits the dash properly. But expect some custom fitting to make everything work.
