Written By Real Guy, Rockville, MD on Thursday, February 21, 2013 Installed in a 2005 Ford Focus ZX4 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I read a lot of reviews regarding these speakers and decided to purchase them because most reviews were good. I already had some other speakers in the front of my car by another manufacturer that I was happy with but I decided to try these out for the rear doors because the price was the same. Well they didn't come close to meeting my standards. I listen to all kinds of music and these speakers began to hiss due to the bass associated with metal, so you could imagine what rap would do. If you like rich tones without buzzing or hissing I would not recommend these speakers. Pros: None Cons: Not good for any music with rich bass tones especially low bass 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? I had the front set wear out on me after 18 months (off a factory deck). Pretty clean and can here different tones well. The only other thing is that they do not clear the highs well. Pros: Price and design. Cons: Do not clear highs well and durability. Was this review helpful? When they say 1 day shipping, they mean 1 day. I do not touch electronics because I'm afraid of messing up a project. After seeing that a different electronics retailer would charge $160 just to install 4 speakers I looked at Crutchfield and decided to try it out. If you follow the directions this is a pretty easy task. I did all four speakers in my truck in 1.5 hours. It would have taken less time if I didn't break my socket wrench. I highly recommend these speakers as a replacement to the "made in china" factory speakers. If you want bass you will need a sub but other than that they sound great. Take the panel off, plug and play. Simple as that. Also buy the 3 piece door panel tool set. well worth the money. I still cannot believe my factory speakers has a Ford symbol on them and made in china underneath. Pros: Great upgrade for the money. Easy to install. Cons: None. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No 5 out of 5 Great speakers for a even better price! Written By LC, Northern California on Sunday, January 20, 2013 Installed in a 2006 Ford Escape Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I purchased these 2 sets of these speakers for my mom for Christmas. The sound quality of these speakers if far superior to the stock 06 ford escape junkers. its only been a month or so since they were installed, so far so good! Crutchfield is the only place i buy any audio components from which is credited to their excellent customer service and return policy. I have purchased plenty of sound ordnance products from amps to speakers, they are well built for the price point and have yet to disappoint! I plan to continue to purchase high quality products for years to come! Pros: good mids and highs, price, mastersheet, customer service, 3 year warranty! Cons: none so far! Was this review helpful? Received these as a Christmas Gift to replace the fronts stock speakers in my truck. I studied the directions and then searched "2010 Ford F 150 door panel removal" and found a great video on how to do this. Highly recommend getting a plastic door panel removal kit so you don't scratch the surrounding plastic when removing the power panels and screw fascia plates behind the door pulls and hand pulls. I made a hook out of a wire coat hanger to remove the plate behind the door handle - worked great!. Installation of the speakers from this point is a breeze. After checking the speakers , I replaced everything and went for a drive to listen. BIG diffidence! Much cleaner highs and it sounds like a new system. For the $$s spent on the speakers ( with the free adapters for the speaker wires and these were a gift to boot ) I will be replacing the rears very soon. Very pleased with these speakers . For a straight switchout with no other upgrades I recommend these speakers very much. Pros: Clean sounding, easy installation Cons: none Was this review helpful? Got the HD Radio JVC head unit for as a gift and installed in my 2001 Miata with factory speaker to learn how bad the factory speaker really were... 10 minutes later I was on Crutchfield.com looking at speakers. Ordered these speakers and arrived a few days later. These units were very inexpensive so my expectations were not too high. WOW - these speakers blew me away. Great sound through the mid, good highs, and very good bass. The install instructions were dead on (door panel removal) and the included adapter made install a breeze in about 10 minute cause the door panels were already removed (using Miata information sheet from the JVC Head install). Pros: PRICE, install is a snap, Crutchfield support, perfect 2-way speaker Cons: Bass does not go as low as a sub-woofer, but it i s not designed for that (might get sub later) 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? 'I bought four of these to go in a '91 explorer to go with a new Alpine CDE-124SXM2. Installed easy into the doors of the four door Ford. The wire harness was easy to go with the Ford harness but a bit tight on the male contacts on the speakers. I had to use a little grease to get them on. Sound is very nice and bass response is pretty solid. They will buzz if you get too crazy with the volume (alpine has 50 peak watts) Pros: Easy install. Good sound. Deep bass. Cons: None as of yet. Written By SeanE, St. Clair Shores, MI on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 Installed these in the rear deck of a 1987 Plymouth Gran Fury/Salon with stock amp/radio, the install should be similar to other M-body Chrysler cars of that period. Installation was mostly painless, the speakers fit in the stock speaker holes and screwed in using the same holes. The only issue is that they stick out more than the stock speakers and they prevent my rear deck cover from being put back on correctly. I have cut holes in the cover and I may put an aftermarket grille over the speakers or make a whole new deck cover from scratch. This is a cosmetic issue, but is something good to know for others with similar vehicles. However, the sound quality is greatly improved, the bass is deeper and the highs are much crisper than the stock speakers. These speakers really are incredible for the price. I will recommend them to anyone looking to improve their car audio quality on a budget. Pros: Improved sound quality, bass, and treble. Easy installation. Cons: May interfere with 1980's M-body Chrysler rear deck covers. 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Written By Dave, Ravenna, Ohio on Monday, September 10, 2012 Installed in a 2006 Ford Focus ZX5 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) Was looking for speaker upgrades since one of the Ford Focus OE speakers started "buzzing". "Chad" was very knowledgeable / helpful with recommendations and answering all of my questions. Just installed the speakers this weekend. Good instruction sheets from CF about how to remove the door panels / parts and OE speakers. Took about 30 minutes to complete the first speaker. After that about 10 minutes each for the remaing 3 speakers. They were easy to install into the doors; no modifications needed. The speaker wires supplied by CF were an exact match / fit to the OE wires. Everything worked on the first try. Improved sound from the P57's; clearer / higher highs, better / lower bass. And can play much louder without distortion ! Very nice upgrade and at a resonable cost / should have changed the OE speakers a long time ago ! I put these in my 2012 F150 to replace the stock standard front door speakers that come with the XLT model. The Sound Ordnance speakers are a huge upgrade over stock, and can handle much louder music without distortion. They put out slightly better bass, but the real improvement is with the overall sound. Highs and mids are much much clearer and can handle more than the 50% volume limit of the stock speakers. I will be ordering another set for the rear doors shortly. If you like rich tones without buzzing or hissing I would not recommend these speakers. Pros: None Cons: Not good for any music with rich bass tones especially low bass 1 out of 1 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
3 out of 5 Ok for the money Written By Anonymous, NC on Thursday, February 21, 2013 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) For the money these are not bad. I had the front set wear out on me after 18 months (off a factory deck). Pretty clean and can here different tones well. The only other thing is that they do not clear the highs well. Pros: Price and design. Cons: Do not clear highs well and durability. Was this review helpful? Yes | No
4 out of 5 2012 F-150 Written By Andrew, Maryland on Thursday, January 24, 2013 Installed in a 2012 Ford F-150 XLT Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) When they say 1 day shipping, they mean 1 day. Yes | No
5 out of 5 Great speakers for a even better price! 5 out of 5 2010 Ford F 150 Supecrew front speakers Written By Pat, Elk Grove,CA on Saturday, January 19, 2013 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) Received these as a Christmas Gift to replace the fronts stock speakers in my truck. Yes | No
5 out of 5 BIG sound at a little price... Written By MTanguay, Port Orange, FL on Friday, January 11, 2013 Installed in a 2001 Mazda Miata Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) Got the HD Radio JVC head unit for as a gift and installed in my 2001 Miata with factory speaker to learn how bad the factory speaker really were... 4 out of 5 P-57 Written By Howie, Dover, DE on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 Installed in a 2011 Ford F-150 FX4 Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) Speakers fit well and are a great improvement over the stock speakers that they replaced. That is not to say that they are the best speakers for your given application or tastes. Pros: Good fit and sound. Cons: Not the best but certainly better than stock. Was this review helpful? Yes | No
4 out of 5 Good Sound for the money Written By whipray, florida on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 Installed in a 1991 Ford Explorer Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) 'I bought four of these to go in a '91 explorer to go with a new Alpine CDE-124SXM2. 4 out of 5 Great speakers for the price! Yes | No

5 out of 5 Very Nice Upgrade Speakers ! Pros: See review Cons: None 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
5 out of 5 Great upgrade over stock Written By Matt, Charlotte, NC on Tuesday, August 07, 2012 Installed in a 2012 Ford F-150 XLT Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?) I put these in my 2012 F150 to replace the stock standard front door speakers that come with the XLT model. Very impressed with these speakers considering their cost. Pros: Very clear, no distortion at high volume, better base and sound clarity Cons: none 2 out of 2 people found this helpful Was this review helpful? Yes | No
