Note: Some aftermarket speakers have terminals that are wider than this harness's slide-on connectors. You may need to widen the harness's female slide-on connectors, or use the slide terminals that may be included with the speakers. If you need to connect your new speaker's connectors to the Crutchfield harness, soldering is best, and crimping is also very popular - see "Accessories."

Features

Crutchfield Speaker Harness: Crutchfield speaker harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory speaker plugs when replacing your factory speakers with aftermarket car speakers. The Crutchfield speaker harness features two female quick-slide connectors on one end to attach directly to your new aftermarket car speakers & a proprietary Molex connector on the other end that connects to your vehicle's factory speaker plug.

Quick-Slide Connectors: The Crutchfield speaker harness is equipped with a large (positive) & small (negative) female quick-slide terminal. These quick-slide terminals fit directly onto most aftermarket car stereo speaker terminals (slight crimping may be required). In rare cases that the quick-slide terminals do not fit your car speaker terminals, you will need to solder the Crutchfield speaker harness to your aftermarket speaker's terminals or replace the quick-slide connectors on the Crutchfield speaker harness with the correct size terminal.

Quick-Slide Terminal Measurements: The positive female quick-slide terminal measures 0.205" (inner width), while the negative female quick-slide terminal measures 0.115" (inner width).

I put the wires together and thought "No Way this is going to work". Trust em, cause I turned on the power and everything was OK. It just seemed to easy, and I am no Rocket Scientist.

Looked to be easy but not so much. Pins are sloppy and I could not get a good connection with all 4 speakers. I ended up cutting back the plastic housing to expose about 1/4 inch of the pins so I could make sure each pin entered the connection on the speaker plugin. Cutting the plastic back eliminated the locking clip. Sealed the connection w electrical tape. It worked fine then .
Pros:
Easy connect to deck w RCA plugs
Cons:
Pins connecting to speakers were impossible to mate properly to get all speakers connected. Called technician at Crutchfield. Very nice but could not make it work. Ended up modifying the part to get it to work.

Had to cut off the ends cause the Kappa speakers I bought had screws for regular wire, no connectors, so I just cut off the ends and soldered them before attaching to speakers using the screws like you would find on quality home stereo speakers!

I bought a set of these to hook up my set of alpine spr-68's into my 98 single cab F-150 and it work great. The install was insanely simple.. Plus fact that buying this set from crutchfield came with a master sheet which made it that much easier cause it told me what sockets and stuff to use so I wouldn't have to go through my whole toolbox test fitting to find the right one. Big time saver. Thanks guys. I will defiantly be back here when I buy my alpine subs

No good since the wire/speaker harness provided to bypass the Ford amp did not fit. Did cut the wires to use the connections for the speakers.
