Sanus

Our take on the Sanus NF24 Speaker Stands

High-performance speakers deserve high-performance stands. From top to bottom, Sanus' latest wood speaker stands combine fine furniture looks with ultra-rigid construction for solid support and optimum sound quality.

Each base and top plate is made of anti-resonant MDF and has a smooth low-luster black finish. Brass speaker studs and neoprene pads are included to isolate the speaker from the top plate. Plastic feet for the underside of the base plate protect wood or tile floors (adjustable carpet spikes also included). A patent-pending concealed speaker wire path on the rounded support pillar keeps cables out of sight. Assembly takes just minutes.

Highlights:

  • black lacquer finish
  • stand height: 24"
  • top plate measures 7-3/8" x 7-3/8"
  • base plate measures 10-1/2" x 11-3/4"
  • supports 25 lbs.
  • floor spikes to help minimize vibrations
  • warranty: 5 years
  • Our 60-day money-back guarantee

    Features

Design: Each base is made of anti-resonant MDF finished with three coats of hand-sanded black lacquer. Adjustable floor spikes are included to provide stable footing on carpeted floors, and to further minimize resonance. A single sturdy black pillar supports the low-profile top plate, which features a choice of neoprene isolation pads or brass isolation studs. Plastic wire covers give your speaker stands a neater look by concealing the wires completely.

Spiked Feet: The spiked feet pierce the carpeting and anchor the stand to the floor, keeping the speaker stable and reducing resonance. With the spiked feet installed, the stand height is adjustable from 24.75" to 25". Note: If you do not wish to use the spiked feet, Sanus has included plastic feet that will not scratch your floor.

Brass Studs: These upward facing brass studs hold the speaker stable and minimize resonance.

Neoprene Pads: The sharp points on the brass studs can scratch the bottom of the speaker. If this is of concern, you can use the supplied neoprene pads to stabilize the speaker.

Weight Capacity: Each speaker stand can support up to 25 lbs.

Top Shelf Dimension: The top shelf is 7-3/8" wide and 7-3/8" deep. Note: For use with smaller bookshelf models. The NF24's height makes it an ideal solution for mounting your surround speakers.

    Good Quality Speaker Stands

Written By Brian S, Metro Boston, MA on Thursday, April 11, 2013
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These stands are sturdy and well constructed. The cable management feature is nice but is tricky to install. My fairly large Definitive Technology Studio Monitors fit well on them.
    Pros:
    Easy assembly and sturdy construction.
    Cons:
Not a big deal ,but I found that the stands are slightly shorter than specified 24" height. They are actually 22.5" without the rubber feet. Add .75" for the rubber feet.

Cherry middle is solid and good quality, attaches well to the base.
    Pros:
    Price, solid wood
    Cons:
I would maybe like "swappable" top plates. Some bookshelf speakers are small, others are big.

    Sanus 24" Speaker stands

Written By capkris, San Juan, PR on Saturday, February 04, 2012
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These stands are sturdy and well built. They look nice and I recommend them. They are a good value for the money.

Follow the instructions carefully and be sure to use the right screws in each hole when you put them together. I started to put them together incorrectly by not paying enough attention to which screws went where, but it was simple to fix; just remove them and start again. If a screw seems to be hard to tighten, you might be putting it in the wrong hole.

I recommend using velcro tape to ensure speakers do not fall off from vibration (of the speakers themselves). A small piece (approx. 1"x2") on each corner of the base where speaker rests on the stand should be sufficient.
    Pros:
These 24" stands are the perfect height for "bookshelf" speakers.
    Cons:
The cable mangement cover is a little hard to install and remove, but it provides a good option to hide the speaker cables. Note it is just a cover; it is not built or intended to "wrap" excess cable.

    Great looking, easy to setup

Written By Eric, Carson City, NV on Wednesday, January 25, 2012
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Ordered these off of the outlet site. Arrived within a few days, easy to setup. They look great, my only criticism is the size of the cable guide holes, which are barely large enough for my Monster cables on a normal setup. I've got my B&W monitors bi-amped, so I can't use the cable guides until I make the cable holes and guides larger.
    Pros:
Great service from Crutchfield, easy to setup, look great (even my wife says so!)
    Cons:
Cable guide and access holes need to be larger if using Monster cables.

    Attractive stands - buy them.

    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

Nice looking, sturdy, and easy to assemble. (I use them on oak flooring.) The rear panel that hides the wire is easy to install - I didn't bend it enough to start. You do have to really bend it to fit into the slots, but the panel is more flexible than it appeared at first - don't worry about it. It seemed easier to insert them by starting at the top and working down.

    Very Satisfied

Written By AbbyK, Corning, NY on Sunday, July 24, 2011

Bought these to replace a brand-new set of Sanus BF24Bs I had bought but was not satisfied with (appearance). These are much better looking, well worth the extra money. Box comes all beat up. My carton was so badly damaged that it was missing the hardware kit and instructons. I was shocked that the main parts appeard to have held up fine - the box was literally a mess. Crutchfield 2nd day shipped the kit - hassle-free. The stands went together well, but I noticed one of the bases had been damaged in shipping. Crutchfield 2nd day shpped a replacement - hassle free. Interesting to note that both replacement shipments came wrapped as if they were fine china - bubble wrap, foam - impossible to damage. If only the original stands came out that way. 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the carton quality or Crutchfield's shipping method. I would definitely buy them again.

    Sanus NF24 Speaker Stands

Written By Don S., Norh Greenbush,NY on Wednesday, July 06, 2011
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

These are great speaker stands, the cherry against the black looks great. The stands are sturdy and strong, very easy to assemble and the wire managment hides the wires perfectly. We are using the steel pegs to anchor into the carpeting. But with all the configurations, you have several options to choose. I gave it a rating of 4 stars, only because the tops could (should) be larger. My Polk RTi-A3 speakers are larger ( they do fit on them). But I would have paid a little more, if Sanus included an extra pair of tops for larger speakers it's a 5 for sure. With that said, you get a great, good looking stand, for a good price point,I would highly reccomend this product

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice these stands were. Very easy to put together (and I'm a girl!). Got these for a pair of B & W 686 speakers that weigh almost 11 lbs, and I am not worried at all about them getting accidentally knocked over. Great stands for the price!!!

Single bookshelf speaker Weight (pounds), 13.5 nd once I added this two screws, I felt much better in relation to how secure the speaker are when you them over the stands

    A great quality speaker stand

Written By Anonymous, NW, Arkansas on Saturday, October 24, 2009
    Crutchfield Customer Review (What's this?)

I ordered these in cherry to go with a set of cherry Polk LSi9's. They arrived in great shape. It is a snap to put them together and takes about 5 minutes each. Two screws in the top and two in the bottom. Screw the four feet on each one and snap in the plastic channel that covers the speaker wire and you are done. These are very solid and are well made. They look great with the cherry finish speakers and appear more as a piece of upscale furniture. The speakers I have are rather heavy and the stands are quite adequate to hold the load. Can't go wrong with these. Simple to assemble, very sturdy, and quite attractive.
