Overview: The Cambridge
Audio One + is a fully-integrated micro hi-fi receiver with a built-in stereo amplifier, FM tuner, and slot-load CD player. The Cambridge Audio One +
also includes a front-panel auxiliary input, SD-card slot, USB port, and
headphone output. In addition, the One + micro hi-fi receiver comes with an
external iPod dock and IR remote control. The Audio One + offers uncompromised
audiophile sound quality from a micro hi-fi stereo receiver.

Amplifier Section
Stereo Amplifier: The Cambridge Audio One + is equipped with a
powerful stereo amplifier for high-quality, audiophile sound.
- 8-Ohm Rating: 25 watts x 2 channels
- 6-Ohm Rating: 30 watts x 2 channels
Audio Adjustments: The Cambridge Audio One + provides Bass & Treble,
X-Bass, and Balance controls.
- Volume: You can adjust
the system overall volume level from 0-49.
- Bass & Treble: You can adjust the receiver's Bass (100Hz)
& Treble (10kHz) independently to suit your preference and music
content.
- X-Bass: The X-Bass function compensates for smaller bookshelf or
satellite speakers that may lack low bass output. When X-Bass is activated,
an extra boost of approximately 8dB centered around 85Hz is applied to
compensate for the natural roll-off of smaller speakers.
- Balance: You can adjust the relative output levels of the unit's
left and right channel.
Binding Posts: The Cambridge Audio One + is equipped with 4 binding
post speaker terminals to connect a pair of loudspeakers. The binding post
terminals will accept bare wire, pin connectors, and banana plus (single only).
The binding post speaker terminals are color-coded (red/black) to distinguish
between positive and negative.
Note: You can connect loudspeaker with an impedance between 4-8
ohms.
Subwoofer Output: The Cambridge Audio One + is equipped with a
rear-panel mono-subwoofer output for connecting a powered subwoofer to add
bigger bass sound to your system.
Headphone Output: The Cambridge Audio One + features a front-panel
3.5mm headphone output for connecting a set of headphone so you can listen to
your music privately. Plugging in headphones will automatically mute the
receiver's loudspeaker output.
Note: Headphones with an impedance of 32-600 ohms are recommended.
FM Tuner
FM Radio: The Cambridge Audio One + features a built-in FM RDS tuner
with manual, seek, and preset tuning.
RDS: The Radio Data System (RDS) feature displays radio
broadcast information such as artist, title, and album when listening to
compatible AM/FM stations.
Preset Tuning: You can store up to 10 FM station presets,
which can then be directly accessed.
Mono Mode: If an analog FM stereo broadcast is hard to
receive, you can manually switch the tuner to Mono operation.
Telescoping FM Antenna: The unit's built-in tuner features a
telescoping FM antenna. This FM antenna can be removed (revealing a 75-ohm coax
connector) to connect an optional powered FM antenna.
CD Player
Disc Slot: The Cambridge Audio One + features a build-in CD player
with a front-panel, slot-loading (inhaler-type) disc slot.
Note: The unit must be powered On to insert or eject a disc.
Disc Compatibility: The built-in CD player supports playback of CD
Audio and finalized CD-R or CD-RW discs (12cm only).
MP3/WMA Playback: The unit's CD player supports playback MP3 (96-320
kbps)/WMA (48-192 kbps) music files recorded onto CD-R/RW discs.
Disc Information: This unit can display elapsed track time, reaming
track time, track/album number, and artist name for compatible SD/SDHC
memory cards and USB devices (if
applicable).
Folder Select with Direct Search: You can navigate folders on your inserted MP3/WMA disc.
Once you have selected a folder you can enter a track number (from the remote
control) to go directly to that track.
Playback Modes: The Cambridge Audio One + offers Repeat
(track/folder/all), Random (on/off), and Program playback modes.
Search Modes: The built-in CD player offers the following search modes
for finding a desired track on a disc.
- Fast-Forward/Rewind: You can fast-forward or rewind within a
selected CD track.
- Skip Tracks: You can skip to the next or previous track on a
compatible disc.
Auto Reload: When a CD is ejected and left sticking out of the CD slot
for 10 seconds, the unit automatically reloads the CD to protect if from damage.
SD-Card/USB Functions
SD-Card Slot: The Cambridge Audio One + is equipped with a front-panel
SD-card slot which will support SD/SDHC memory cards up to 8GB. You can listen
to MP3 (96-320 kbps)/WMA (48-192 kbps) music files stored on SD or SDHC memory
card. Your SD/SDHC memory card should be formatted in FAT 16/32. The unit can
display elapsed track time, reaming track time, track/album number, and
artist name.
USB Port: The Cambridge Audio One + features a front-panel
USB (type-A) port for connecting a USB mass storage class (MSC) device, up to
8GB. You can listen to MP3 (96-320 kbps)/WMA (48-192 kbps) music files stored on
your compatible USB memory device (flash-drive or thumb-drive). Your USB memory
device should be formatted in FAT 16/32. The unit can display elapsed track
time, reaming track time, track/album number, and artist name.
Note: USB devices which contain operating or other backup
software, or which are designed to be used in conjunction with a computer
running proprietary software may not work.
Folder Select with Direct Search: You can navigate folders on your inserted

remote control) to go directly to that track.

iPod Dock
External iPod Dock: The Cambridge Audio One + includes an external
iPod dock for connecting your Apple iPod or iPhone. You are able to listen to
music files stored on your iPod/iPhone, control playback functions, and charge
the battery.
Note: The external iPod dock includes 2 iPod dock adapter inserts.
If the included dock adapters do not fit your iPod/iPhone, use the docking
adapter that came with your iPod/iPhone or purchase one through the Apple
Online Store.
Audio Playback: The included iPod dock supports audio
playback of your docked iPod/iPhone's music, podcast, and audiobook files when
connected to the Cambridge Audio One + system.
Note: The iPod dock does not support video or still
image transfer. It also does not transmit metadata information to the
connected Cambridge Audio One + system. You will continue to use your iPod/iPhone's
LCD screen to view song/artist information.
Menu Navigation: The Cambridge Audio One + includes an IR
remote control for wireless operation of your connected iPod/iPhone. Using the
IR remote control, you can navigate your iPod/iPhone's menu and select music by
Playlist or Category. You can also select playback functions, such as
Play/Pause, Fast-Forward/Rewind, Skip (previous/next), and Shuffle/Repeat. You
can also continue to use your iPod/iPhone's clickwheel or touchscreen to control
playback.
Battery Charging: The iPod dock will charge your iPod or
iPhone while connected. If your iPod/iPhone has no initial battery charge, then
the unit will not recognize it.
iPod/iPhone Compatibility Chart: The included iPod dock is
"Made for iPod/iPhone" compatible and supports the following iPod/iPhone model
features when connected to the Cambridge Audio One + system (as of March 2011):

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may
change functionality results. If you download a newer software
version, you may need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to
regain functionality. If this doesn't work, you may need to revert
to the older software version or wait until a newer software update
is available.
Connections: The iPod dock features a 30-pin Apple iPod dock connector
to dock your compatible iPod or iPhone. It also features an attached 27" cable
terminated by a proprietary 9-pin connector which plugs into the unit's
rear-panel "DD30 dock" terminal.
Audio Inputs
Front-Panel Auxiliary Input: The Cambridge Audio One + is
equipped with a front-panel 3.5mm auxiliary input for temporary connection of an
external audio source, such as a portable MP3 player.
Analog Audio Inputs: The Cambridge Audio One + is equipped with two
rear-panel stereo RCA inputs for permanent connection of two additional external
audio sources, such as a tape-deck or SACD player.
Tape Output: The unit's stereo RCA tape-output lets you connect an
external recording device.
Note: Bass, Treble, and Balance adjustments do not affect the
audio signals sent through the unit's Tape output.
Convenience Features
LCD: The Cambridge Audio One + features a front-panel two-line,
16-character, white-backlit LCD. You can adjust the unit's LCD brightness
between Bright or Dim.
Clock: The Cambridge Audio One + features a 12-hour clock display.
Alarm: The unit's Alarm function will turn on the system at a chosen
time. You can select the wake-up time, FM station, and volume level. You can also select
how often the Alarm is used (Once, Everyday, or Off).
Sleep Timer: The Sleep Timer will turn off the unit after a selected
interval. You can choose between 15, 30, 45, 60, or 90 minutes.
Remote Control
IR Remote Control: The supplied IR remote control provides wireless
operation of the Cambridge Audio One + and your connected iPod or iPhone.
Note: The remote operates off of 3 "AAA" batteries (included).
