Dynamic Balance:
Dynamic Balance is a proprietary Polk Audio technology using laser imaging to
determine what combination of speaker materials create the least amount of
resonance. Eliminating resonance in speakers results in a wide, smooth response
and low distortion.
Polymer Composite Woofers: The
speaker features two lightweight, yet stiff mineral-filled polymer composite woofers with
good damping, giving you high efficiency, excellent bass, and low distortion.
For high performance durability, each woofer uses a butyl rubber surround and an
acoustically inert stamped driver basket.
Silk/Polymer Tweeter: The
speaker has a 0.75" fabric/polymer dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet that provides clear, detailed
highs.
Mylar Capacitors: The speaker
utilizes Mylar bypass capacitors to extend its high frequency response and
improve detail and transparency.
Acoustically Inert Cabinet: The
speaker cabinet features all-MDF construction with internal bracings that
virtually eliminate sound-muddying resonance.
Port: There is a single
critically-tuned port opening on the rear of the speaker that has low port noise
for increased and extended bass response.
Grille: The speaker features a
removable anti-diffraction cloth grille that minimizes grille diffraction for
spacious, three-dimensional imaging.
5-Way Binding Posts: The
5-way binding posts will accept bare wire, pin connectors, spade
connectors, banana plugs, and dual banana plugs.
Magnetically Shielded:
The speaker is magnetically shielded, allowing you
to place it on your television without distorting the picture.
Timbre-Matched: The Polk CSR is
designed to be used as a center-channel in any Polk Audio home theater or
multi-channel music system for a more realistic seamless surround sound
environment.
Mounting: The center-speaker
comes with 4 rubber self-adhesive feet to help secure the speaker in place to
prevent slippage and vibration. The center-speaker does not come with any type
of wall-bracket or key-hole slot for wall-mounting the speakers.

Frequency Response: The overall frequency response is 40Hz-24kHz, and the -3dB frequency response is
55-20kHz.
