This wiring kit does not include speaker wire, so you'll need to purchase that separately to complete your amp installation. This kit includes patch cables for a 2-channel or mono amp — you'll need to add cables for multi-channel amps.

    It does what it should but good luck finding a replacment fuse and unless you have a really small car you will need more wire. If I had to do it again I would have spent the extra money on a better one.

    First amp install and I used this kit. Couldn't be happier with the quality of the wires. I was little disappointed in the size and quality of the split loom they provided. Very cheap and impacted the 5-stars I would have given if it wasn't for that. At this point in time, no issues or concerns.
    Pros:
    All wires (ground, power, remote) were long enough and good quality. Although the wire sheath was strong, I still used aftermarket split loom to run the entire distance between connections for added protections.
    Cons:
    The included split loom by EFX is junk, run down to your local automotive store and grab 20-30' of 3/8". It'll get the job done.

    Barely long enough

    These were the perfect cable set. However, when I went to pull the power line, it was just barely long enough to make the whole route from the battery terminal through the firewall, along next to the seat, through the back wall, and to the amp. My care is a tiny Honda Civic, so I was surprised when I was so limited in cable length. I would hate to think if I was pulling the same cable through a full sized car. When I finally reached the trunk, I had so little left, I only had one option for placing the amp. I had to put it right next to where the cable entered the trunk on the floor. I had hopes of side mounting the amp, but that wasn't possible. I would recommend they add another foot or 2 to the cable so that people have options. This kit is best suited for a truck installation.

    - top quality cables remain pliable even in the cold of winter - cable guard makes for a professional look - included fuse fits a professional installation

    - limited main battery cable length

    The EFX 8-gauge Amp Kit is a great entry/mid level amp kit. Includes everything you'll need to get going where as some kits don't come with RCA cables etc. 8G is enough for any simple setups, and my JL Amp called for 8G - no need for 6 or 4. The fuses are pretty rare tho, so you'll need an ebay account to order me if you start blowing them.
    Pros:
    Comes with everything! Price is great
    Cons:
    Fuses are unique. RCA's are braided so cannot be split for mono amps.

    I was hoping to score this as a freebie with my large purchase from Crutchfield, but sadly, I did not. I spent the money and purchased this kit. It came with everything I needed. The quality was outstanding and saved me a couple of hours trying to scrounge all the pieces that came with this from my house and various hardware stores in my area. The quality of the wires and the split covers are great, the zip ties and extra fuses will come in handy. Overall, a great purchase to save some time and stress.

    This is very good 8gauge wire. Im using to power my 1,000 watt 2 channel amp and it seems to be doing fine after two weeks. My only complaint is that this way over priced. I didn't originally choose this, but my crutchfield adviser advised me to get this. i would personally get one from another website but hey, at least here you get customer service and a 1 year warranty. :)

    This kit gets the job done. It includes more than what you need to install an amplifier. I used it to install the Sound Ordinance 8PT amp and had more than enough wires, etc to make it all work. It's a must if you are installing the amp yourself.

    Does not come with speaker wire but I would recommend using the RCAs whenever possible.

    Everything you need to connect an amplifier to your head unit is included. The only thing you'll need to supply is the connectors for your speaker wires.
