Amplifier and Speakers: The Denon S-52 features a pair of full-range
2.5" front-firing drivers and a pair of 3" down-firing woofers powered by a built-in 10 watt x 2-channel amplifier. The S-52 features
the following two audio technologies to produce excellent sound quality from a
compact system.
- Audyssey Dynamic EQ: Audyssey Dynamic EQ is a technology that
automatically corrects the tonal balance of an audio system when the volume
is changed. It is based on psychoacoustic research that better match to
human perception than other loudness compensation. The tonal balance is
adjusted continuously with variation in both program material and volume
setting.
- Audyssey BassXT: Audyssey BassXt is a solution to extend bass
performance to lower frequencies without increasing cabinet size, driver
size or weight. BassXT actively monitors the incoming low frequency signal
and drives woofers to there maximum capability at all volumes, thereby
producing deep bass at all volume levels. This allows the woofer to play low
bass content when it can and protects it only for the few time when it
can't. It is not like simple bass boost or tone control as the system is
fully customized for the individual speakers used in the system by DSP
processing and works in real time.
