Works Well for Fringe Areas
Written By Robert, Mtn Home, ID on Sunday, October 25, 2009

This unit boosted the signal strength on a new HD antenna from 23% to 78%. It is rather touchy about it's power feed. It doesn't like the power unit being downstream of a splitter or lightning protection unit.

Also had to do a cold reset of my D-A converter several times to fix a signal overload problem on one channel.

Channel Master 7777
Written By Jeff, Middlesex, NY on Tuesday, April 07, 2009

If you are looking for an excellent Preamp and are kind of on a tight budget, this is the preamp for you. Got mine in 3 days(weekend order), installed it on my cheapo Uhf/Vhf and my new ota antenna's and had 13 digital and 9 analog stations in minutes. Before I bought this preamp I had 3 analog and no digital stations. and all stations come in CRYSTAL CLEAR. Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Channel Master 7777
Written By David, Hillsborough, NC on Monday, February 02, 2009

Easy to install. Took about 20 minutes including putting up and putting away the ladder. Only additional item needed was a 6' outdoor coax cable. Increased my signal strength by 1-2 bars on my Samsung TV's signal strength indicator.

Works great
Written By Leon, Minden, La. on Thursday, January 22, 2009

I have a Winegard PR 8800 antenna that I hooked the cm7777 up to. I live in a national forest 38 to 40 miles from the TV towers in my area and I have 30 foot trees 20 feet from my antenna. I have seen a jump of 20 points on my signal meter for each channel (0 to 100 meter). I even picked up another channel that I was not recieving before. On Feb 17th LPB will switch thier broadcast in our area to a taller tower with 3 times the power so I know I will pick 3 more stations. I pick up 13 digital channels now and I do not have any problems with dropouts any more. All my stations are 263 to 268 degrees from me and that is lucky to have them all that close together. Before the cm7777 to recieve two of those stations I had to turn the antenna slightly. Now they just come in without having to tweek anything, so it is not so directional anymore. I would definately recommend this product to anyone out in the boonies like I am.

Digital Signal Amplifier
Written By kyle, Atlanta, GA on Wednesday, December 10, 2008

I purchased this booster with the 4221 antennae. I already owned a 20 db amplifier connected to a 12' antennae in my attic. My original antennae out performed the 4221 in the attic, but the gain in signal from the 4228HD was far superior to the older 20 db unit. I am able to receive a total of over 40 channels now (~20 digital). I would recommend the 4228HD to anyone.
