Retrosound makes it easy to replace the factory speakers in almost any classic, vintage, or even new car. Their RetroMod Series speakers feature extremely shallow chrome baskets designed to fit into a wide variety of standard speaker locations. They may look old school, but Retrosound builds their speakers from the ground up, using the latest techniques and materials.

Each R-413N 4"x10" speaker features a powerful neodymium magnet and a low-carbon steel chrome frame that form a strong foundation. The sturdy pulp composite woofer with its Santoprene surround delivers powerful performance while standing up to heat and humidity. The Mylar dome tweeter broadcasts detailed highs without sounding shrill, and its low profile helps increase installation options.

Not at all happy with these speakers. The sound is horrible. Retrosound is a fitting name since they sound exactly like the speakers that were in my 72 Ford LTD with the 8-track player. I will be looking for another 4x10 set to replace these. Crutchfield on the other hand, awesome. Really liked the item specific instructions that were sent. Made installation a breeze.

was excited when I saw how many watts these claim to handle, but when i opened them up, they were cheap and the magnet was about a third the size of the factory speakers in my tahoe. wouldn't recommend them.

These are pretty decent speakers but they don't fit as well as they could. They have a shorter depth for clearance but their frame width near the base and on sides has less clearance (or narrowness) than stock speakers. Btw, there is no need for the extra size of frame metal at those points because the speaker cone comes no where close to hitting the metal frame. Also why the two small tweeters instead of having just one that gives higher quality sound? I like their fairly high RMS numbers considering many cd/radio units now a days put out a good amount power. Their bass is ok but could be richer sounding. I would buy these again and would also pay more money if they improved them along the lines I've mentioned. Bob

The Crutchfield guys led me to believe these would take some modification work on my 1990 Cummins Powered Ram Dodge to install. On the contrary, they went in easily. 2 screws held in the cover and 2 nuts held down the speaker to the cover. All the connectors you sent made it quick & easy. The RamDodge sounds really sweet inside AND outside now.

The install was flawless, all the parts were there and it was so clear even my 4 year old
understood what to do and helped on the install. The quality of the speakers were
good....not the quality of Infinity or JBL, but definately better then the stock speakers it
replaced. Definately well worth the money. Thanks Crutchfield for making sure all the
help I needed was in the box :)

I bought these speakers for a 1983 Chevy truck. The advisor told me that I might have some issues installing them, however there were none. They fit great. I reused the factory screws to mount them in the same mounting holes they came out of. The only fabrication required is to lenghthen the speaker wires, as the new terminals are on the top, and factory is on the bottom. I reused the factory speaker grilles, as they fit perfectly. The sound quailty is greatly improved over the factory. They are a great buy for the money, and installation was a breeze.
