Features
Overview: The Thule 686-Atlantis Cargo Carrier mounts to
most factory installed and aftermarket vehicle roof racks.
Fit: The Cargo Carrier requires an aftermarket or factory
installed roof-mount rack to mount to the roof of your vehicle. This box may
cause interference with some station wagons and hatch backs.
16 Cubic Feet and 110 lb Loading Capacity: The Cargo Carrier offers 16
cubit feet of space and handles and loading capacity up to 110 lbs. Make sure
that loads are evenly distributed inside the roof box. Do not exceed the maximum
permitted load of 110 lbs for the box or the maximum permitted load for the roof
as recommended by your vehicle manufacturer, as well of the maximum load of the
roof-rack.
Construction: The Cargo Carrier is made of vacuum molded ABS high
grade impact and scratch resistant material, while its pre-installed hardware is
zinc-iron plated steel with nylon straps and buckles.
QuickGrip Mounting Hardware: The Cargo Carrier features pre-installed
QuickGrip mounting hardware for easy on/off attachment to roof racks (no tools
required).
Dual Side Opening System: This box is designed with a patented dual
side opening system, allowing you to open the box from either side, providing
easy access to each pair of quick connects during installation and removal.
Thanks to its dual-side opening feature, you can access your travel gear from
either side of the Cargo Carrier. The box should only be opened one side at a
time. The locks works the same way from either side of the box.
NO-GO Central Locking, One Key System: The carrier is easy to open and
close thanks to Thule's NO-GO Central Locking, One Key System. Insert the key
and turn clockwise to the unlocked position. The key an only be removed when the
box lid is closed and locked. To close, press down on the lid at the front and
rear of the box. Turn the key counter-clockwise to lock and then remove key.
Diffuser Technology: The Cargo Carrier weighs only 39 lbs while
utilizing exclusive Diffuser Technology to cut down on drag and wind noise when
mounted atop your vehicle.
Colors: Thule 686-Atlantis Cargo Carrier is available in a metallic
silver or black finish.
