At first I thought I wasn't going to like it based on how flimsy it kind of felt but once the aftermarket radio went in and with the use of a little tape (to tape down some plastic that was bending to the head unit), it was nice and sturdy and fit very well. Very easy to install and very nice looking.
Pros:
Easy to install, comes with all parts, looks great
Cons:
Some pieces are a little flimsy, but nothing a little tape can't fix

Perfect except thereis a thin gap on top where if your not paying attention is where your CDswill wind up , on top of the head Unit.

It's been a while since I've done a car stereo install, but remembered how easy it was when I bought my last deck via Crutchfield over 15 years ago ... so when my daughter asked if I could help her with an new deck ... I remembered how Crutchfield had brackets and connectors to simplify the installation. The instructions are a key to how to get things opened up.

This adapter was not good. It does fit and hold my radio but that is the end of the good part. It is made from plastic that feels cheap and the texture does not match the rest of my dash. You have to use these tiny screws to put it together so make sure you have a very long and very thin Phillips head screw driver. Crutchfield sent me a dash adapter for a Legacy by mistake and it was 100 times better than this thing.

It fits in the dash and holds a radio
Cons:
poor build quality and crappy finish

Inorder to fit to the 2012 impreza cut the plastic tabs off and screw in the existing mounts from the stock radio then install. Very clean

Used to fit a Pioneer AVH-P3400BH, a double DIN unit, into a 2012 Subaru Forester.
Pros:
Fits. Looks reasonable.
Cons:
To fit a double din you have to cut out the center bar with a sharp knife. It would be better if the bar was made to detach in some way (e.g. snap-in / snap-out).
