Features

Overview: A relay is simply an electrically activated switch. Relays are used in a wide variety of automotive applications. This relay is composed of three contacts (terminals #30, #87A, and #87). Activating this relay is done with the coil (terminals #85 and #86). For auto security applications there are numerous features which require the use of a relay such as Starter Kill, Circuit Isolation, Trigger Inversion, and Trunk Release. The 8617 relay is capable of handling 40A maximum across its normally open contacts and 30A maximum across its normally closed contacts.
