Features
Overview: The JBL OnBeat Venue LT powered speaker features an
integrated Lighting-Connector dock to connect the latest iPods, iPhones, and
iPads; as well a built-in Bluetooth for wireless music streaming from your
smartphone or tablet, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input to connect almost any portable
audio device with a headphone output. You can also download the free
MusicFlow app for your iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad in order to enjoy a more custom user experience.
Powerful JBL Sound: The JBL OnBeat Venue LT features two full-range
transducers powered by a 30W digital amplifier to produce room-filling sound
with clear highs, detailed mids, and punchy bass. Proprietary Slipstream port
technology in the JBL OnBeat Venue LT gives your even more powerful, great-sounding
bass with lower distortion. The unit offers Bass Boost to enhance bass
performance, and Movie Mode which creates an extra-wide sound field. The powered speaker has a frequency response of 60Hz
to 20kHz.
Lightning-Connector Dock: The JBL OnBeat Venue LT powered speaker is
fitted with a retractable and flexible Lightning Connector (8-pin) Dock which
supports connection of Apples iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPhone
5, iPad 4, and iPad mini. The unit provides audio playback of music stored on
your compatible Apple device, as well as music apps downloaded to your
compatible Apple iOS device. Your compatible Apple device's battery will charge
while docked and the powered speaker is turned on. You will continue to use your
Apple device to control your music and view song/artist information. Its recommended that you disable the "Shake to Shuffle"
feature on your iPod nano (7th gen), iPod touch (5th gen), iPhone 5, iPad 4,
and iPad mini before docking it to this unit.
Note: The JBL OnBeat Venue LT does not support the
docking of Apple iPods, iPhone, and iPads with the earlier 30-pin dock
connector.
Built-in Bluetooth A2DP: The JBL OnBeat Venue LT supports Bluetooth
A2DP for wireless audio streaming from a compatible Bluetooth-enabled device;
such as your Apple iPod/iPhone/iPad, Android smartphone/tablet, or
computer/laptop. You can wirelessly stream music stored on your
Bluetooth-enabled device or music apps downloaded to your device to the JBL
powered speaker. You will continue to use your Bluetooth-enabled device for
music
control and metadata display. With Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you can easily
pair your Bluetooth-enabled device to the JBL OnBeat Venue LT without having to
enter pin codes or go through complicated settings (use "0000" if your device
requires a pairing code).
Note: Due to the differences in Bluetooth technology,
some Bluetooth enabled devices may be incompatible, function improperly, or
may not support all features when used with the JBL speaker system.
JBL MusicFlow App: The free, downloadable
MusicFlow app from iTunes lets you customize your listening experience from
your Apple iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad (iOS 4.2 or later). You'll be able to create
custom playlists, edit mixes, adjust volume and EQ presets, and browse album
artwork. EQ presets include Movie, Rock, Jazz, Basic, and Gaming. Your
compatible Apple device can be connected via the Lightning Dock connector or
Bluetooth.

Note: Apple iPod/iPhone software updates may change
functionality results. If you download a newer software version, you may
need to reset the device and your iPod/iPhone to regain functionality. If
this doesn't work, you may need to wait until a newer software update is
available.
Auxiliary Input: The JBL OnBeat Venue LT is fitted with a rear-panel
3.5mm auxiliary input for connection of non-Lighting Connector and non-Bluetooth
devices. The unit's 3.5mm auxiliary input will work with most any portable audio
device with a 3.5mm headphone output.
External Power Supply: The OnBeat Venue LT operates off of standard
household current using the supplied AC power adapter and cord.
- Input: 100-240V ~ 50/60Hz,
1.5A (max)
- Output: 18V - 2.5A
Auto Standby: When the OnBeat Venue LT is on, it will
automatically enter the standby mode after 10 minutes of inactivity (no audio
input and no user-control operation).
Firmware Upgrade: You can upgrade the OnBeat Venue LT's firmware from
within the JBL MusicFlow App that is installed on your docked iPod touch,
iPhone, or iPad. When your compatible Apple iOS device is docked in your JBL OnBeat Venue, tap the "Firmware Upgrade" button
within the app and it will compare the OnBeat Venue's firmware version with the
latest version available on-line. If a newer version is available, the MusicFlow
app will notify you that a firmware upgrade is available.
